Skills and Gear Guides Navigation

While playing Campaign Mode, you will meet Followers as you progress through the storyline, but in Adventure Mode, Followers are available from the very beginning of the game. To do this, you need to approach them in the city and select “Hire”. You can always change or Dismiss your current Follower, and they will return to the city to their original place.

Followers will become stronger and unlock new skills as you level up. Followers skills are unlocked at 5, 10, 15 and 20 levels (the follower level is the same as the level of your character). After reaching the required level, players can choose one skill from the two available. In addition, you can equip them with special accessories, weapons and relevant gear items.

In Diablo 3, players have three followers to choose from, each with their own unique fighting style and useful abilities:

Kormac, the Templar – Dedicated master of melee arms and armour. All Kormac’s abilities are based on crowd control like stun and taunt. He will also tank many demons. Encountered in Act I.

Lyndon, the Scoundrel – Selfish rake skilled in larceny and ranged weapons. Lyndon is tricky support with poisonous arrows, buffs and the ability to hit several foes at the same time. Encountered in Act I.

Eirena, the Enchantress – Mysterious magic-user who can confuse and debilitate enemies. Eirena is a master of knocking back, slowing enemies or increasing the amount of damage they take. She can also make you tougher with buffs and increase your attack damage. Encountered in Act II.

Emanate Mechanics

After Patch 2.7 players can now equip Followers with a total of 14 different item slots which include the Follower Relic Item, Helm, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, Bracers, Belt, 2 Rings, Neck, Pants, Boots, main-hand weapon, and off-hand. And new Follower feature was introduced in game – Emanate. It allows the player to gain the intended effect of certain Legendary Powers and Set Bonuses when equipped on the hired Follower. The current list of items with Emanate capabilities are the following:

• Broken Crown (Whenever a gem drops, a gem of the type socketed into your helmet also drops. This effect does not apply to Legendary Gems);
• Homing Pads (Your Town Portal is no longer interrupted by taking damage. While casting Town Portal you gain a protective bubble that reduces damage taken by [50 – 65]%);
• Spaulders of Zakara (Your items become indestructible);
• Goldskin (Chance for enemies to drop gold when you hit them);
• Custerian Wristguards (Picking up gold grants experience);
• Nemesis Bracers (Shrines and Pylons will spawn an enemy champion);
• Gladiator Gauntlets (After earning a massacre bonus, gold rains from sky);
• Gloves of Worship (Shrine effects last for 10 minutes);
• Dovu Energy Trap (Increases duration of Stun effects by [20 – 25]%);
• Rakoff’s Glass of Life (Enemies you kill have a 3% additional chance to drop a health globe [3 – 4]%);
• Avarice Band (Each time you pick up gold, increase your Gold and Health Pickup radius by 1 yard for 10 seconds, stacking up to 30 times);
• Krede’s Flame (Taking Fire damage restores your primary resource);
• The Flavor of Time (Pylon effects last twice as long);
• Sage’s Journey (3-piece set bonus – Double the amount of Death’s Breath that drop);
• Cain’s Destiny (3-piece set bonus – When a Greater Rift Keystone drops, there is a 25% chance for an extra one to drop).
