Eternal Legendary Crests is one of the upgrade keys that you need to enter the rift. There are two types of crests Rare Crests and Eternal Legendary Crest. The first one is free and you can get them via Battle Pass, daily visits etc. As for the Eternal Legendary Crests, you get by paid means with some new options to get a limited number of Eternal Legendary Crests for free. We will explain to you how to get Eternal Legendary Crests and how to use them.

What are Eternal Legendary Crests?

But in any case, you are not guaranteed to get the one you need for your build. So the grind will take some time. But the most important thing is that Eternal Legendary Crest is not the same as Legendary Crest! These are two types of the one crest that have only one difference – a Legendary Gem that you get from the Elder Rift with the usage of ETERNAL Legendary Crest CAN be sold on the Market, while Legendary Crest grants you a BOUND Legendary Gem that you can’t be traded with other players.

How to get Eternal Legendary Crests?

Taking into account the difference between Eternal Legendary Crest and Legendary Crest note that every time you get such a crest for free it is a Legendary Crest, so all loot is bound to your character. In this post, we describe only Eternal Legendary Crests.

So to get an Eternal Legendary Crest you need to spend Eternal Orbs. Before you could only buy them but now there are two new ways to get free Eternal Legendary Crest that we will explain further. The price for one Eternal Legendary Crest is 160 Eternal Orbs, 60 Eternal Orbs is around 1$, so you can spend 3$ to buy 180 Eternal Orbs to get 1 Eternal Legendary Crest. The next bundle of EO is 300+15 Eternal Orbs for around $5, but you still will get only 1 Eternal Legendary Crest. So we make a conclusion that 1 Eternal Legendary Crest costs approx. 3$.

Many players find it more reasonable to buy an EO bundle of 1500+150 Eternal Orbs it costs around $26 and it will be enough for 10 Eternal Legendary Crests. Maybe that is the reason why there are two options to buy 1 and buy 10 Eternal Legendary Crests at once.

But there are two ways to buy Eternal Legendary Crests. The results are identical, though. So the first one is to open shop from the menu and click on Crests as we did in the picture above. Also, you can buy Eternal Legendary Crests when you enter an Elder Rift if you have enough Eternal Orbs it will be an instant purchase.

One more addition is that now you can craft Eternal Legendary Crest at the jeweller. Moreover, they have increased the weekly cap of fading ember that you receive for farming Elder Rifts. That means that now you get 400 fading embers needed for crafting per week. As many as 396 fading embers are needed to craft one Eternal Legendary Crest.

As you can see now there are two ways to get free Eternal Legendary Crests one per method. So you can get up to two Eternal Legendary Crests for free per week.

How to use Eternal Legendary Crests?

As any other crest. Go to the square where the entrance to the Elder Rift is located in Westmarch.

Click on it and you will see three slots. You can farm a rift with empty slots, but if you use Crests you will unlock new loot depending on the socketed Crests. Rare Crests will add runes, while Eternal Legendary Crest will add Legendary Gem.

If you have Eternal Legendary Crests you can add 1, 2, 3 or 10 Eternal Legendary Crests at once. In the outcome, you will get 1, 2, 3 or 10 Legendary Gems for clearing one Elder Rift.

But everything depends on your luck so you can spend a lot of money on getting the gems you want, but you can sell Legendary Gems you don’t need and collect currency to buy the needed ones on the market. In any case, this is everything you need to know about Eternal Legendary Crests.
