FFXIV MoonFire Faire and What to Expect

Welcome to another of our blog installments! This week we will be looking at the latest and greatest that Final Fantasy XIV has to offer, and we’re sure it won’t disappoint. This August, the fourteenth installment of Final Fantasy is bringing its player base another epic event to spice things up! The event sees players grabbing some pretty cool rewards, such as a new bonfire for your home, as well as some epic new additions to your outfit collection.

This event will start just before Live Letter 72 and take place in Limsa Lominsa. From there, the event will kick into action, where players like yourself can get their hands on some new cosmetic items by taking on quests. Requirements

Level 30 (Combat Job)

Unlock the ability to travel between 3 major cities.

This is not explicitly mentioned in the official announcement of the Moonfire Faire 2022, though we believe these are the necessary requirements. Newcomers needn’t worry about this fact, as they can obtain these levellings and features within the first few hours of the MSQ in A Realm Reborn. So with a few days to go before the beginning of this 16-day event, we’re sure all players can easily enjoy what the event has to offer.

Moonfire Rewards

Summer Sunset clothing set

This set includes the following:

• Summer Sunset Bandana – head attire (Black and gold headband)
• Summer Sunset Beach Cover-up – body attire (Loose fitting open shirt)
• Summer Sunset Wrist Torques – hands attire(Golden wristband pair)
• Summer Sunset Bottoms – legs attire (Knee length white/blue swim shorts)
• Summer Sunset Sandals – feet attire

There has been some speculation on the shorts in this set, as FFXIV has sometimes offered male and female characters different versions of the same outfit. Some suggest that the female version of this Summer Sunset clothing set will be modeling bikini shorts as opposed to those mentioned above. However, December’s Endwalker patch has left many hopeful that these shorts will be available regardless of character gender. It has also been stated that a stylish bikini top will accompany the Loose fitting open shirt in the outfit for Female characters; the shirt collar will also be decorated with a gold chain/necklace.

Bonfire

This reward is pretty self-explanatory, but you can get your hands on a new way to light up and warm up your nightly gaming sessions with this awesome outdoor accessory.

When will FFXIV Moonfire Faire Take Place?

This action-packed event will begin on Wednesday, August 10 at 1 am PT/4 am ET/9 am BST/6 pm AEST and run through to Friday, August 26 at 7:59 am PT / 10:59 am ET / 3:59 pm BST (00:59 am AEST on August 27).

You can start your journey through the Moonfire Faire fun by heading to Limsa Lominsa and going to the Aftcastle. Here you will meet Mayaru Moyaru, who will help you get started. The quest giver will appear at the times shown above at the coordinates X:11.5 and Y:13.8. Once they do, the decorations signifying Moonfire Faire will be on full display. Mayaru Moyaru will then give you the quest “A Matter of Course” for you to begin.

Past Events

As we know, the Moonfire Faire is an annual event featured in FFXIV. You may have been lucky enough to get your hands on past rewards such as a Straw Hat and Patel Skirt. In the time following the previous Moonfire Faires, those players who weren’t lucky enough to make their way through all of the event quests have been able to grab some of the rewards in the online shop. This typically takes place a few weeks concluding the event, so we hope that those low on luck this year can still get their hands on some awesome new gear.

Note that, as mentioned in previous updates, some of the rewards available in the shop are often only one use item. So make sure to gear up and get ready for an epic adventure if you want to secure those rewards.
