How to play World of Warcraft for Free?

World of Warcraft is a famous MMO that has a lot of fans. There is no doubt that you have heard about this game before, but if you are a new player you might find it expensive to start playing your first days. What if you only want to try the game out and only then decide whether to buy it or not? In this post, we will tell you how to play WoW for free.

First of all, if you are a newcomer you need to keep in mind that in order to play the latest version of the game you’ll need to buy two things:

• World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – it is the latest expansin that you’ll need to buy separately
• World of Warcraft subscription

Note: There is no need to buy WoW base game anymore! As well as WoW classic.

How to play WoW for free?

The first thing that you might think of is some illegal server, but no that’s not the thing. There is one official way to play World of Warcraft for free. You can download the game from the official website and start your explorations of WoW from level 1 and to level 20. Unfortunately, it is the cap for the free version of WoW.

But that doesn’t mean that game will shut down when you reach level 20. You will still be able to explore the views and zones, but without getting any experience points. There is enough content that you will be able to see during these 20 levels including your first dungeon and tutorials. So you will have a general understanding of the game in the end.

After that, you can create another character or buy a subscription to continue your journey and level up to level 50. From level 50 you will need to buy Shadowlands in order to play the full version of the game as it is at the moment of writing.
