We have written a new complete Path of Exile Expedition League Challenges Complete Guide. Below you can see the full list of PoE 3.15 challenges and tips on how to complete them. We have divided them into categories starting from the easiest ones. If you what to know about the Path of Exile 3.15 Expedition Challenge Rewards List just click on the link.
There are 40 challenges in PoE. Some are easy to obtain during levelling, others are harder or almost impossible to achieve. In our Path of Exile, Expedition League Challenges Complete Guide you will read the tips that will help you do as many PoE challenges as you can even all 40 if that is your goal.
Our guide is presented in the rating difficulty list. That means that we have divided the full Expedition challenges list into four difficulties: easy (the most part of them you’ll do while levelling), normal (you can obtain them with a minimal effort), hard (you’ll need to try and repeat several times to do them), very hard (you’ll need to farm numerous maps and know and be able to kill end-game bosses). If you want to get 20 challenges completed you can combine challenges from different difficulty levels to pick the most appropriate ones for you.
As we have already said you’ll see them get completed while you play and level up your champion. If you finish the last act you’d probably have all the following 12 challenges completed.

You’ll start to encounter these in end game maps. Blight encounter is like a mini-tower defence game on a map, the best tower type to use is scout tower which acts as a free summoner to aid your fight. Finishing blight encounter can get 2 types of special reward, 1st is blighted map which is like a special version of the map that content no other monster but the blight mechanic in large scale, 2nd reward is oil currency which can be used to anoint your blighted maps, amulet(gain notables) and rings(improve blight towers). Can check all the anoint modifiers here. You can buy them from other players too and they’re mostly pretty cheap, especially for the low tiers. You can also make use of a Lira Arthain atlas passive to increase the drop rate of blighted maps. Anointing blighted maps can also make the fights easier; I would suggest 3 Amber oils which make your towers cost much less, allowing you to almost afk most maps if you spam scout and empowering towers near each other.
You’ll start to encounter them after Act7 with Alva, Master Explorer assisting you throughout your adventure by sending you to the past of Temple Atzoatl when encounter her altar, killing any architecture from the past incursion will affect your current time Temple Atzoatl which you’ll be able to access it after completing 12 incursions with her, and at the end of the Temple Atzoatl, you’ll encounter Vaal Omnitect. Here’s a cheat sheet regarding the temple rewards. You can also buy chronicles to put into your map device and run but be sure to check that you can actually get to the Omnitect with the chronicle you buy.
To do this challenge, just buy any 1 of these 4 cheap unique beasts(Saqawine Rhex, Craicic Spider Crab, Fenumal Hybrid Arachnid, or Farric Tiger Alpha) then spawn them in your blood altar, complete the fight and take the portal to the boss encounter. The easiest bosses to kill are the Craicic Spider Crab and Saqawine Rhex.

The Beachhead is an endgame map filled with many Harbingers type monsters and is easy to do, just kill a bunch of harbinger monsters that’s it! You can obtain this unique map easily from The Landing divination card which drop often from Strand map OR from upgrading map by using Harbinger’s Orb on a normal map or by buying one from a player. The Beachhead can also be a good source of experience in higher tiers.

These challenges may cause more difficulties and extra effort to complete them. Such as extra farm of content and tactics and mechanics on killing end-game bosses.
Attain character level 90. This challenge still counts even if your character dies afterwards.
You just need to play and try not to die. It can be a hard task with poor builds, so pick a decent one.
Complete 30 Red Tier Rare Maps while they have 8 mods. Maps having 8 mods is a potential outcome of Vaal Orb corruption. These Maps are completed by killing their Unique Bosses. Sextants, Scarabs and Zana mods do not count towards the mod count of this challenge.
This challenge is harder than unidentified rare maps. To get 8 mods on red maps (T11+ maps), you need to use a Vaal Orb to corrupt it into possibly getting 8 mods. If you need help just ask people to help you deal with the dangerous maps that you craft, or make a rotation party to farm 8 mods red tier maps. Vaal orbing rare red maps is also a good way to earn currency, as the more mods the map has the more monsters spawn and the more loot the monsters drop. Unidentified maps also have an item quantity bonus.

This challenge requires you to find the hidden area/room within the logbook area which will be indicated with an icon (as shown on the left) in your minimap so it is pretty easy to spot them when doing your logbooks, just make sure you have enough detonators to reach that hidden spot. This challenge shouldn’t be that hard because some of these unearth areas are shared in a few different logbook areas, and you can do this challenge alongside when doing the #27 challenge, also unearth area is not that rare to spawn so should be fine. Also, most of this hidden area will contain quest/text items that are required for the 2nd part of the expedition quest named
Destroy Expedition Remnants with each of the following modifiers.

Complete any 15 of the following 18 Unique Maps on your Atlas. A Map is completed by killing its Unique Boss or Bosses if it has any. Maps without Unique Bosses are completed by opening specific Unique Chests.
You can complete any of them actually. But there are 3 that are hard to complete or to obtain. So we recommend you skip Perandus Manor, The Putrid Cloister, and Doryani’s Machinarium. The prices can change so you can check them yourself.
To get unique maps faster get The Encroaching Darkness divination card that will provide you with a random unique map.
Defeat each of the following Expedition Bosses.
These are the 4 main bosses of the Expedition League. These bosses can be fought by exploring logbook expeditions. During the logbook expedition in the area you will see a skull on your minimap(as shown above); place an explosive on the skull in the area and blow it up to reveal the boss encounter. Be warned as the boss will inherit all the previous mods leading up to the encounter so it’s best you aim straight for the boss and then go to other rewards and remnants if your build is not strong enough. Click their name above with their links on them to watch their fight scene.
Complete each of the following encounters.
This is an end-game boss from Betrayal league you can read all the details here: Catarina, Master of Undeath
You can read all the needed details here: Path of Exile Simulacrum Guide
When you have collected a total of 100 timeless splinters of a specific legion from doing legion encounters during maps, the splinters will become Timeless Emblem map fragments, which can be used to unlock the 5th slot of map device by running 4 different types of emblems at once. To learn more about this you can read Path of Exile Emblems Guide.
You can read all the details about it here: Delve Bosses.
Complete each of the following encounters.
Tier 15 Stagnation Map, the boss will sometimes create Toxic Swamps (which last for 10 seconds) in the middle of the arena when it uses its teleportation skill, causing the player to get the toxic swamp debuff when standing in the pool. So to do this challenge, lower the boss’ health into culling range (10%), then wait for the boss to cast the teleportation skill; after it teleports you to the middle of the pool, kill off the boss to complete this challenge.
Tier 16 Underground Sea Map, after the boss changes into its 2nd form, it’ll sometimes use its screech skill that lasts for 5 seconds. To do this challenge, after lowering the 2nd form boss’ life into cull range, wait for its screech skill to happen then kill it to complete this challenge.
Tier 15 Burial Chambers Map, this challenge is pretty straightforward, just craft a magic rarity of a Burial Chambers map with the “Twinned” modifier (prefix), kill both of the bosses then you’re done! Be cautious not to stand on the corpse of the 1st boss after you kill it because the 2nd boss can actually detonate the corpse and kill you at once.
Tier 16 Crystal Ore Map, this challenge is a bit tricky to do because you need to kill them in the correct sequence. Try and make the Messenger of the Hollows boss your last target because that’s the boss that uses Righteous Fire. Also, you can only damage them when there’s a yellow circle underneath them, that’s the indication you can only attack them.
Complete each of the following encounters.
Medved’s hits will apply poison to you, as well as the spiders that he also summons. Try to take a couple of hits when it is safe and the boss is within culling range. You can also go for self-poison strategies (The Golden Rule) if you have a way to be unaffected by poisons (Maw of Conquest) or have enough Chaos Resistance, or you can self-curse with Temporal Chains using Rotblood to have the poisons on you last longer. Note: It has to be unaffected by poison as you still need to be poisoned for the challenge to pop; immunity won’t apply the poison to you in the first place.
During the boss fight, Medved will periodically summon Arachnid mobs that will poison on hit. Try not to burst the boss down too fast or you will skip the summoning of these mobs.
At 75, 50 and 25% health, Medved will summon a Cultist to aid in the fight. This conditional needs you to have a build capable of ignoring the Cultists while damaging Medved in order to get him to summon the Cultists. Wait until all 3 have been summoned and are low before you decide to burst them together.
As stated previously, Medved will summon Cultists at 75, 50 and 25% health. This conditional just means you need to be able to kill Medved while ensuring you stay away from the summoned Cultists and not damage / kill them.
Complete each of the following encounters.
While fighting Vorana, the sides of the arena will be covered with a dark area that causes you to take damage while you are in it. The damage debuff you take is called The Black Reaping. To complete this, just step into the darkness a little as you kill Vorana and you will get it.
During the fight with Vorana, in the outskirts of the arena will be little white stars that circle around, periodically shooting projectiles into the arena. As long as you do not come into contact with these stars they will not collapse. As the stars never enter the arena they are quite easy to dodge.
During the fight with Vorana, in the outskirts of the arena will be little white stars that circle around, periodically shooting projectiles into the arena. All you need to do is walk into 25 of these stars to collapse them. They will deal a small amount of area damage when they explode so try to keep moving, and being in the darkness will cause you to continually take damage, so try not to stay inside too long.
During the fight with Vorana, in the outskirts of the arena will be little white stars that circle around, periodically shooting projectiles into the arena. These projectiles can be slightly difficult to spot as they are small but if you keep an eye on where the projectiles are you can easily side-step them.
Complete each of the following encounters.
This is possibly the hardest part of the challenge as one needs to be able to dodge a lot of boss mechanics. A blink skill with multiple charges such as Flame Dash is highly recommended. The next parts of this guide will describe what Glimpse of Infinity and Indifference of the Cosmos is.
Glimpse of Infinity is a stacking action speed reduction debuff that is applied from the light beams that shoot out of the big mirror in the room, and Uhred’s spinning laser beam attack. Each instance has a 10 second duration and they are separately timed. While fighting the boss these will periodically go off on either side of the arena or the middle. They can be quite hard to dodge if you have been hit by a few already but their damage is not too powerful.
Indifference of the Cosmos is a debuff that is applied by the waves of orbs that Uhtred shoots out during his attacks. These normally are quite easy to dodge if you keep running around him whenever he turns to face you.
Similar to other boss fights, Seeking Stars are orbs that the boss spawns, that slowly move towards the player. Once an orb collides with a player, a black slowing pool with grabbing hands will appear at the collision point and damage players still in it. You need to be constantly moving to avoid these stars, so damage over time, trap/mine or totem build will be able to handle this boss easier. Beware that the star spawns from Uhtred so if you are too close, the star will instantly collide with your character, failing this part of the challenge.
To complete the following four challenges you will need as much time as one week and a decent build for completing the top end-game content and bosses.
Complete each of the following encounters.
During the invulnerability phases, destroy both crystals; this will mean during the fight additional mobs will spawn.
During the invulnerability phases, destroy both Gateways; this will mean the remainder of the boss fight will have the crystals and their DoT aura around them.
During the fight with Olroth, a symbolic. Object shaped like a triskelion
Enervation is a debuff that is granted from standing in the zones that Olroth occasionally creates. During the final phase of the fight, there will always be one of these zones. Enervation lasts a couple of seconds after you leave the arena so as long as you pop into the zone just before you kill the boss you will get this conditional.
Complete 10,000 map tiers. Completing a tier 1 map gives 1 tier, completing a tier 2 map gives 2 tiers, and so on.
You can check the tier list here: Path of Exile 3.15 Expedition League Map Tiers List.
Defeat each of the following deadly encounters.
Complete any four of these encounters the specified number of times.
No need to do all of them but choose 4 the most appropriate and easy for you. We recommend skipping reaching level 100 as it is time-consuming. And to choose from: either Simulacrum, since it is much more expensive than other things that can be bought, or a labyrinth, for those who do not like to go through it.
