Thanks to WoW reputation buff I returned to the game. The very first-day play and what do I see? News about Shadowlands! I am really excited about its release, but to tell you the truth I was not expecting it until winter 2020. But as far as we can guess the last patch of BFA is coming really soon and after it, only months will separate us from Shadowlands release. By the way, 100% reputation buff will last until the last BFA patch so it will last over a month! So today I am going to share with you some awesome information about Revendreth and the Venthyr Covenant. One of the zones and races from Shadowlands expansion.
What is Revendreth?
It is one of the four zones that players will discover in the new World of Warcraft expansion. Three other zones are Bastion, Maldraxxus, and Ardenweald. Naturally, you will have a starting quest for this zone. But you need to play safe here as it won’t be easy to get a high reputation with them. You will start a Revendreth questline from the leader Sire Denathrius, the Master of Revendreth and ruler of the Venthyr.
After that, you will need to level up in the eight districts of Revendreth. Each of them has its own ruler called the Harvester. His task is to sort out the souls that come to Revendreth. Depending on their succession he decides whether a soul returns to Oribos to enter the other afterlife, stays in Revendreth to become a Venthyr or banishes to the Maw. According to the description from Blizzard, this race acts similar to Undeads in some way.
Castle Nathria – Shadowlands
Among other great castles and districts in Revendreth, there is Sire Denatrius’s fortress, Castle Nathria. As far as we can see it is very significant. So we can guess that it will be the place for a new raid.
I feel the deep powers of this place is here, next to my PC. I can’t wait to get there!
Venthyr and other inhabitants
The main race Venthyr is a vampiric race with high manners and standards. Their life looks like a medieval kingdom with courts and influence. Also, you’ll meet other creatures. Such as Stoneborn and Dredbats, which are the members of the Stone Legion. They will be the mobs you’ll fight against. Also, there are Dredgers we are not sure what are they for. But it seems that they will support you in some way.
We can guess that you will need to help Sire Denathrius defeat his foes and smother a rebellion. You will fight against Prince Renathal and his forces. Of them is General Draven, who by the way, you can see in the picture above in Castle Nathria. So he must be one of the bosses there. Moreover, Blizzard gives us a hint…
These are but a few of the entities you’ll encounter in Revendreth. While adventuring, it’s best to stay vigilant—you might even cross paths with long-passed heroes of Azeroth who now wander this world. . .
Taking into the account that on Blizzcon it was mentioned that Kael’thas Sunstrider will appear in Shadowlands we think that this hint is all about him. 😉
After you reach the maximum level and complete all questlines in all the four zones of Shadowlans you will be able to choose a covenant. Each of them will open two abilities for you. The first one is an active class ability and the other one is a signature ability to explore the world. Along with other powers and cosmetic rewards that can be unlocked through a Covenant Campaign—an epic storyline unique to the faction.
You can see the list of active abilities here, but a lot of them are still under development. As for the Venthyr signature, it sounds like:
Door of Shadows: Wend through the shadows, appearing at the targeted location.
Also, you will be able to bind your soul to some powerful creature and open new tiers of powers thanks to that. Naturally, if you get Exalted with this race and complete all the questlines there, you’ll get a mount, a pet, Venthyr-forged armour, and back attachments.
Armour sets look pretty cool, don’t they? From the left to right there are cloth, plate, and leather gears.
Halls of Atonement dungeon
Halls of Atonement is a 5-player dungeon inside Revendreth.
Difficulties: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
Level: 50+ (One of four level-up dungeons)
It consists of four bosses:
- Halkias, the Sin-Stained Goliath
- High Adjudicator Aleez
- Lord Chamberlain
There is no information about there abilities or tactics yet.
WE do hope to get more information about the new Expansion and tell you all the details for sure, not just guesses. 😉
