Star Wars: Battlefront trial

STAR WARS: Battlefront trial

As usual, Origin gives me opportunities to play games for free. Today I had a strong desire to play STAR WARS: Battlefront trial. Each trail in Origin has got its own playable time, sadly, but this one had only 4 free hours. Anyway, still I have formed my own view on this game.

If you are interested why STAR WARS: Battlefront trial is available now you are welcome to read an article about it on the main site as I don’t want to retell that information.

Before I start talking about STAR WARS: Battlefront trial directly, let me tell you about one very uncomfortable thing! There isn’t any possibility to take a screenshot in the game! I went to Google to find a way out, but all the advice (such as UI.DrawEnable, FRAPS or play using Steam) didn’t work. So, I had to play in a windowed mode (which you can turn on only by pressing Alt+Enter) and PrintScreen with a Lightshot.

By the way, I faced the same problem, when I played Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. This thing is really annoying! Why don’t you Origin make it possible to make screenshots in your games??? Cause printscreening like this:

isn’t convenient at all!

Ok. Now let’s return to STAR WARS: Battlefront trial description. First of all, this game is very atmospheric and realistic. I almost believed that I am on another planet defending my positions.

So, as usual, there is a mode with missions (where you can play alone with bots, or invite your friends to complete them together) and there is a PvP mode (a simple shooter). I’ve completed several missions with these brutal guys

just to see, what are they like. There you need to kill enemies and collect coins that drop from them. There are three difficulties and different achievements.

After that, I continued with PvP mode. There I played almost all games on one map with the same regime, where you have to push the trolley (if you play for rebels) or to stop it (if you play for imperials). Another map is called Jabba’s palace, where you need to kill more than others, or to push a trolley again. Also, you may have a chance to play as a hero. There are four (three from the previous game patch and one more for each side in a new DLC ) different heroes on each side, but you can pick only one of a kind for a team (there can be four, of course, but different).

  1. Luke Skywalker

The Force is strong with this one. Live out your Jedi fantasies and deliver Force Pushes and Saber Rushes in the battles of Star Wars Battlefront. As Luke, move quickly on any map and use his Lightsaber to deflect enemy blaster fire back at Imperial foes.

  2. Princess Leia Organa

Be a devoted leader of the Rebellion and use both defensive manoeuvres and powerful attacks on the battlefront. Avoid enemy fire behind the Enhanced Squad Shield or one-shot most enemies with the mighty Trooper Bane ability.

  3. Han Solo

The legendary smuggler who’s seen his share of blaster fights. Playing as Han Solo, you can adapt to any situation fighting off Imperial troops. The Six Shooter and Lucky Shot abilities will fit both long and short ranged combat.

  4. Nien Nunb (New DLC hero)

This Sullustian is the ultimate support hero for the Rebels. Set up Infantry Turrets and Proximity Bombs to keep enemies away and crush anyone that slips through with the rapid pulse cannon.

  1. Darth Vader

Ready to feel the power of the Dark Side? Strike fear into the hearts of any Rebel as the evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader. What he may lack in speed, he makes up with power and his unique abilities such as Force Choke and Saber Throw.

  2. Emperor Palpatine

End the insignificant rebellion as the galaxy’s prime symbol of evil, Emperor Palpatine. Shock enemies with the iconic Force Lightning or use Force Dash to traverse the battlefront.

  3. Boba Fett

Go behind the mask of the mysterious and deadly bounty hunter Boba Fett. Use the jet pack to bring death from above, or take out Rebel scum with the powerful rocket barrage or flamethrower.

  4. Greedo (New DLC hero)

This Bounty Hunter becomes more explosive the more confident he becomes. Senses enemies and unleash devastating precision shots to finish them off.

But mostly you play as a simple minion. Running, shooting, dying. You can upgrade your character by buying weapons and special items for him (such as grenades, powerful guns etc.). Oh, you can change his look too, of course! You can buy all these stuff for in-game gold, which is converted from your game points. So, the better you play the more you are paid. Everything is up to you, as you see.

Sadly, I am not that good in shooters, as you already know 😥 Even though I had 4 hours to play I didn’t manage to have a good result. Maybe because I played only for 2 hours in PvP, as I spend almost 2 hours on finding a way to make screenshots and playing missions’ mode. Anyway, I guess this is my best result:

In general, STAR WARS: Battlefront is worth playing and who knows, maybe you’ll do it better. By the way, you still can apply for a trial in Origin!
