Sumeru Genshin Impact Release Date

Sumeru Genshin Impact is one of the most awaited updates in the game. Every year a new region releases in Genshin Impact the next one is called Sumeru. In this post, we will tell you what we know about it so far and what is Sumeru Genshin Impact release date.

What is Sumeru Genshin Impact?

Sumeru is the fourth region upcoming in Genshin Impact in version 3.0. If you play Genshin Impact you have already met some NPCs from Sumeru. For example, these are all researchers from Liyue (like Soraya) or Sayid an NPC in Mondstadt, or Vahid a shopkeeper stuck in Ritou (Inazuma).

As in any previous region, Sumeru Genshin Impact will be associated with a new Archon – Lesser Lord Kusanali. She is also referred to as the Flower Archon (Flower God) and the God of Wisdom. The element that Lesser Lord Kusanali represents Dendro element. Interesting that Lesser Lord Kusanali is the youngest Archon that took after God of the Woods who was the previous Dendro Archon and died during the Cataclysm 500 years ago.

We also know that there will be at least one annual festival in Sumeru called Sabzeruz Festival. During this festival, the birth of the Lesser Lord Kusanali is commemorated.

As for the theme that inspired the creation of Sumeru it is known to be medieval Middle Eastern and South Asian cultures. We can tell it by its name as Sumeru is one of the many names of Mount Meru, a sacred five-peaked mountain in Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist cosmology. The Chinese name for the region Sumeru, 须弥 Xū Mí, is also the Chinese name for Mount Meru. Or you can think of Sumer the earliest known civilization located in lower Mesopotamia, which was known as Šumeru in the Akkadian language.

Sumeru Genshin Impact Release Date

As we have already said Sumeru will release in version 3.0. If we analyze the releases of previous patches we can predict that Sumer will release in the summer-autumn of 2022.
