Teamfight Tactics Rebel Build Guide

As the new season hit TFT we started playing to let you know about the most powerful combinations and traits in the Set 3. We will write about every trait separately starting with Rebel Build Guide. The patch we are writing about is the latest 10.8.

So Rebel trait in TFT doesn’t count as a good one, but we played it a lot and like its variations. Besides, sometimes there are such situations that you simply cannot collect the ultimate build.

TFT Rebel bonuses

Every trait in Teamfight Tactics has its features and bonuses. So Rebel’s are:

At the start of combat, Rebels gain a shield and bonus damage for each adjacent Rebel. The shield lasts for 8 seconds.

3 ⇒ 150 Shield & 10% Damage

6 ⇒ 225 Shield & 12% Damage

9 ⇒ 350 Shield & 15% Damage

So the best way to play them is to group them together and collect as much as possible. But the important thing what other characters you should take to support Rebels.

TFT Rebel champions

So the following champions have Rebel trait in TFT:

Those that cost 1 gold are:

  • Malphite (Rebel and Brawler)
Passive: Malphite starts combat with a shield equal to 40%/45%/50% of his maximum health.
  • Ziggs (Rebel and Demolitionist)
Ziggs throws a bomb at an enemy dealing 250/325/550 magic damage.

Those that cost 2 gold are:

  • Sona (Rebel and Mystic)
Sona heals injured allies for and cleanses them of all negative effects.
  • Yasuo (Rebel and Blademaster)
Yasuo blinks to the enemy with the most items and knocks them into the air for 1 second then hits them times for Basic Attack damage and on-hit effects.

The one that costs 3 gold:

  • Master Yi (Rebel and Blademaster)
For 5 seconds Master Yi gains massively increased movement speed heals for 10%/12%/15% of his maximum health each second and deals 100/150/250 bonus true damage with his Basic Attacks.

The one that costs 4 gold:

  • Jinx (Rebel and Blaster)
Passive: Jinx gets excited as she helps take down enemy units!
After her first takedown Jinx gains 60%/75%/100% bonus Attack Speed.
After her second takedown Jinx swaps to her rocket launcher causing her Basic Attacks to deal 100/175/750 bonus magic damage to all enemies in a small area around her target.

And the last one that costs 5 gold is:

  • Aurelion Sol (Rebel and Starship)
Launches fighters which fly out to random enemies deal 100/150/750 magic damage and then return. Aurelion Sol launches all ready fighters plus 3 more when he casts.
Fighters prefer to target nearby enemies.

Rebel Build Guide – Best item sets

Here you can see what items match better with every Rebel champion.

As a tanky champion Malphite in TFT is good with the items that give HP, resists or control. Some of them are Zephyr, Rebel Malphit, Bramble Vest, Red Buff, Zz’Rot Portal, Redemption, Frozen Heart, and Dragon’s Claw.

Ziggs, on the other hand, is a great caster. So, you’ll need some AP damage items. Such as Luden’s Echo, Seraph’s Embrace, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Morellonomicon, Zephyr, Chalice of Favor, Jeweled Gauntlet, and Spear of Shojin.

As for Sona. She is good at dealing AP damage, but also you can collect some useful supportive items. Her possible items in the set can be Seraph’s Embrace, Chalice of Favor, Zephyr, Spear of Shojin, Shroud of Stillness, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Redemption, and Trap Claw.

Yasuo is an aggressive AD carry. So you can equip him with the following items: Hand Of Justice, Guardian Angel, Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, Spear of Shojin, Giant Slayer, Zeke’s Herald, and Statikk Shiv.

Master Yi is another great carry in Rebel trait. But you can equip him with some interesting items that will improve his stats and abilities. Such as Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Quicksilver, Bramble Vest, Rapid Firecannon, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Rebel Malphit, Dragon’s Claw, and Titan’s Resolve.

Get Jinx and all the range AD carry items to make her powerful. Those can be Red Buff, Giant Slayer, Guardian Angel, Runaan’s Hurricane, Infinity Edge, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Trap Claw, and Last Whisper.

And the great Aurelion Sol will be great with the following items: Morellonomicon, Seraph’s Embrace, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Jeweled Gauntlet, Luden’s Echo, Ionic Spark, Chalice of Favor, and Hextech Gunblade.

So this is the list of the best item sets for Rebel trait champions in TFT. If you feel a bit confused about the items don’t worry soon we are going to write Teamigt tactics items guide to make it all clear for you.

Best Rebel Team Comps

At this part of our Teamfight Tactics Rebel build guide, you will learn about team combinations that will help you win.

So the best Rebel comp with other traits consist of:

4 ⇒ Mystic (golden combo)

2 ⇒ Mana-reaver (golden combo)

3 ⇒ Blademaster (bronze combo)

3 ⇒ Rebel (bronze combo)

2 ⇒ Celestial (bronze combo)

2 ⇒ Chrono (bronze combo)

This Comp best variation can consist of the following champions: Xayah, Shen (with an item that makes him rebel), Sona, Yasuo, Karma, Kassadin, Soraka, Lulu, or Thresh. This combination is a good one but very hard to collect. You can try and make your variations. Also, if you find it difficult to equip Shen with Rebel trait item, you can take Master Yi instead of Xayah, but then you’ll need to get Lulu as a must.

Rebel Build Guide – Positioning

As for the positioning you need to put all rebels next to each other in order to get the most profit from their trait. Other champions you should put separately and in the best place regarding their range. So you can locate tanky champions and ones with 180 range in the front. After that, you can position your rebels and in the backline, you can put rangers, but don’t make them stand in the adjacent to rebels hexes.
