Gamescom 2020 – Play into the Future

This year one of the biggest games conferences is going to be online. Due to the COVID pandemic, Cologne is not going to held Gamescom 2020, but it will be stream worldwide and a lot of leading game developing companies have confirmed their participation. We will tell you more Gamescom 2020 more in this post.

Gamescom 2020 – Details

This year’s main theme is “Playing into the future”, which raises a lot of important problems. Gamescom 2020 focuses on the many positive effects of games on society, adding that it is important to teach digital skills at schools.

Gamescom: from Thursday, August 27, 2020 to Sunday, August 30, 2020.

Along with that, a lot of developers will share their news, like Afterlives cinematic series from Blizzard Entertainment. Read the full list of participating companies below. In addition, the main trend of the event is going to be the release of upcoming consoles like PlayStation 5 from Sony and the Xbox Series X from Microsoft.

How to watch Gamescom 2020

As we have already mentioned this year Gamescom is going to be digital and will start tomorrow 27th August. You can watch Gamescom 2020 on YouTube and set a reminder for you for the video below.

Gamescom 2020 Schedule

Also we wanted to share with you the schedule of the event.

Thursday, August 27

Opening Night is Day 1 of Gamescom where you will watch exclusive game trailers and gameplay reveals. The show will run from 10:30 am-4 pm PT.

Friday, August 28

The exclusive game trailer and gameplay reveals continue on Day 2 running from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm PT. Sprinkled in between the reveals is Game Scoop! Live and Up at Noon with Troy Baker, as well as the Gamescom Daily Show which wraps up the day’s events.

Saturday, August 29

The Awesome Indies Show along with more trailers and reveals debuting exclusively on Day 3 Gamescom. The show runs from 8 am-3:30 pm PT and ends with the Daily Show which looks back on everything revealed.

Sunday, August 30

Last few gameplay reveals and an impressive showing of Cosplay on Day 4 of Gamescom, running from 7:30 am – 1:00 pm PT. Main event: the Best of Awards Show completes the day.
