What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Ganyu has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Ganyu skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Shenhe talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Shenhe.
Celestial Shower is Ganyu’s Elemental Burst. It coalesces atmospheric frost and snow to summon a Sacred Cryo Pearl that exorcises evil. During its ability duration, the Sacred Cryo Pearl will continuously rain down shards of ice, striking opponents within an AoE and dealing Cryo DMG.
Trail of the Qilin is Ganyu’s Elemental Skill. On leaves a single Ice Lotus behind, Ganyu dashes backward, shunning all impurity and dealing AoE Cryo DMG. Ice Lotus:
Liutian Archery is Ganyu’s Normal Attack. Nothing special. The normal attack works as at any other character with a bow. Performs up to 6 consecutive shots with a bow. Ganyu is a main-DPS character that deals a lot of Cryo damage. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Ganyu team comps that we find decent. But let’s start from the Genshin Impact free-to-play Ganyu team comp.
A relatively free-to-play freeze comp. Sucrose and Barbara will be able to keep up Hydro application. While Xiangling is needed to give a melt reaction.
Gangyu as the main DPS will deal the most damage from Elemental Burst and charged attacks. Mona is needed to taunt enemies with her ability and apply Hydro to let Ganyu freeze them with Cryo. Venti will group enemies together and control them for some period of time. He can also spread Mona’s Hydro to other enemies around. Diona activate Cryo resonance, shields active character and heals.
As sub-DPS Ganyu will also deal the most damage from elemental Burst and charged attacks. But here you’ll need Xingqiu as support and source of Hydro for freezing reaction. Xingqiu is better than Mona for melee main DPS characters. Here it is Ayaka. Together with Ganyu she will deal a lot of damage. Kazuha can assist the team by grouping enemies together, applying crowd control, providing DMG buff to teammates and reducing Elemental Resistance of enemies.
