Nilou is a 5-star Hydro character in Genshin Impact that was released in October 2022. She is also referred to as the Star of Zubayr Theater. What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Nilou has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Nilou’s skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Nilou talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Nilou.
Dance of Haftkarsvar is Nilou’s Elemental Skill. Nilou will enter the Pirouette state, dealing Hydro DMG to nearby opponents based on her Max HP.
While she is in the Pirouette state, Nilou’s Normal Attacks and Elemental Attacks will cause her to enter the Sword Dance and Whirling Steps stances respectively, causing DMG she deals to be converted to Hydro DMG that cannot be overridden and that is considered Elemental Skill DMG.
Dance of Abzendegi: Distant Dreams, Listening Spring is Nilou’s Elemental Burst. Begins the dance of faraway dreams and springs that hear, causing a Lotus of Distant Waters to bloom, dealing AoE Hydro DMG based on Nilou’s Max HP and applying the Lingering Aeon effect to all opponents hit. After an interval, opponents affected by Lingering Aeon will take Hydro DMG.
Dance of Samser is Nilou’s Normal Attack. Nothing special. The normal attack works as at any other character with a sword.

Every 1,000 points of Nilou’s Max HP above 30,000 will cause the DMG dealt by Bountiful Cores created by characters affected by Golden Chalice’s Bounty to increase by 9%.
The maximum increase in Bountiful Core DMG that can be achieved this way is 400%.
Depending on what we have written above we will continue with character combinations that will suit Genshin Impact Nilou team the most. As usual you should max, but if can’t roll at least C2 to get bonuses for Dendro and Hydro characters.
There are several roles that all characters obtain in Genshin Impact. Your perfect team would consist of the Main DPS, 2 SUB-DPS characters and one Support. Main DPS is occupied by a character that can deal a decent amount of damage from all sources, auto attacks, elemental reactions and elemental bursts. Sub DPSs are needed to activate reactions that boost the main DPS’ damage or deal some extra damage while the main DPS is sticking their elemental burst. Support can vary typically it is a healer/shielder, but in some cases, it can be a battery (the character that stacks elemental burst for the team) or a spreader (the character that can spread reactions activated by all the characters).
Nilou is a sub-DPS character best for teams with Dendro and Hydro. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Nilou team comps that we find decent. But let’s start from the Genshin Impact free-to-play Nilou team comp.
Nilou is the Sub DPS in this team. Nilou provides Hydro elements for triggering Bloom reaction in this team. Because of Nilou’s passive talent, which transforms the cores generated from Bloom into Bountiful Cores if the team is only composed of Dendro and Hydro Character you cab deal more AoE DMG. Those Bountiful Cores burst quicker than regular cores and also deal larger AoE DMG. Dendro Traveler and Collei provide the off-field Dendro allowing the continuous production of Blooms. Barbara will continuously provide Hydro attack reactions with the Dendro element and heal the team using its Elemental Skill preventing damage from Dendro Cores.
It is the same as the free-to-paly team but with Kokomi, cause she is better than Barbara.
This one is build around Nahida and Yelan who would do the most damage from orbs.
These characters can be used in different teams with Nilou as well. But this is not a team as such.
