How WoW Burning Crusade Classic differs from TBC

Blizzard has announced the release of the Burning Crusade Classic expansion. We have already written about its phases and features and today we’d like to tell you how the original expansion differs from the upcoming WoW Burning Crusade Classic.

Developers have been working hard to bring the classic playstyle of World of Warcraft Burning Crusade into life. To do so they needed to resolve many problems related to code conversion, bug fixes and textures. But as we are talking about Blizzard we understand that no matter what challenges arise before them they will do the best product that they can.

WoW Burning Crusade Classic Changes

The main idea was to revive the feeling of the very first entering the Outland. Do you remember how you entered the portal years ago and what did you feel? That’s what you about to feel once again when Burning Crusade Classic releases. You can expect all the main features of TBC in Classic but still with some changes.

First of all, spell-batching has been removed from Burning Crusade Classic to prevent abusing of spells like polymorph, Blink or Pyroblast. The real problem caused latency issues and it influenced the quality of the game.

Players have asked to engage with the initial versions of bosses so they can see if the benefit of experience allows them to defeat bosses they previously struggled with, and we want to provide them with that opportunity.

Raiding will become more challenging. Most of the bosses will return to their original state and you will see that it is much harder to fight them. But still, there are few bosses like M’uru who was balanced badly in the first place. So the changes that have modified spell pushback will remain to balance the groups and make it harder to kill bosses.

Some balance changes influenced the Seal of Blood and Seal of Vengeance. As one of them is much stronger it is decided to make the following changes. At level 64 all players will get only one seal relevant to their class. But at level 70 they’ll also be able to get the opposite faction Seal as well.

In the original TBC Arena team, roasters could have only three players, which is inconvenient and force players to play without breaks. to change this situation The Burning Crusade Classic will allow making roaster of 6 players for 3v3 Arenas so you will have sub players.

They are also planning to use the modern matchmaking algorithms to more quickly match players with equally skilled opponents, while still keeping the rating requirements on purchased arena gear in later seasons.

These are all changes that we know about so far. Read more about WoW Classic via the link below.
