Path of Exile Echoes of the Atlas and Ritual League Announcement

Recently Grinding Gear Games has announced the upcoming new content. There are two major content updates coming in PoE 3.13 patch. The first one is endgame mechanics changes with Echoes of the Atlas implementation. The second one is a new challenge league, which is called Ritual league. Further, we are telling more details about Path of Exile 3.13.0.

Path of Exile 3.13 launch date is 15th January 2021 for PCs and 20th January 2021 for Consoles.

Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas

In the previous Atlas of World expansion you have seen the total rework of the endgame mechanics. In Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas you will see new improvements for those changes.

There is going to be a new boss called The Maven and she is here to challenge you. She will appear on maps during your boss fights starting with gods. After completing 3 bosses with her presence you will unlock the entrance to her realm. Her presence will make the bosses more powerful and dangerous. In addition, she will save the bosses that you have killed and let you fight them again in her realm simultaneously up to 10 bosses at once. If you manage to complete this trial of hers you will be able to challenge The Maven in the most powerful fight of all time.

Watchstones will still drop on maps but not from the masters as they are gone. They will work similar to now but the ivory watchstone will be now accessible as well. In addition, you will see new types of watchstones that can be crafted.

Those watchstones will influence the situation in the region and upgrade the Atlas region skill trees.

This is another addition and improvement of the Path of Exile endgame mechanics. Every region will have its own skill tree and you will choose what nodes to activate.

If you want to learn more about Echoes of the Atlas you can watch the announcement trailer below.

Path of Exile Ritual League

As far as 3.13 has a lot of changes and improvements it also opens a new challenging league. Ritual League is not very massive and you might find it easy and interesting to play.

In every zone with Ritual league active, you will find seven Ritual Altars. Activate them to defeat monsters and specific altar powers to earn Tribute points that you can spend on Ritual Rewards. Every new altar in the zone will summon all the monsters from the previous altars in this zone, so you will have the opportunity to collect many Tribute points.

They will not drop but you will see them when you click on an altar after you complete the encounter. There you will see the number of your points and the rewards that you can get in return.

Also, you can take the remaining tribute points and exchange 4 of them on the item that will grant you the ability to activate Ritual League Altars in the map. Just insert it in the map device together with your map. These items are called Ritual vessels and they will enhance the monsters and their loot.

Ritual Challenges Rewards

In the Ritual League you’ll have the option to complete 40 new challenges and earn exclusive microtransaction rewards.

  • 12 challenges – Ritual Weapon Effect,
  • 24 challenges – Ritual Character Effect
  • 36 challenges – Ritualist’s Hideout
  • Completing challenges also grants you pieces of the Ritual Totem Pole Hideout decoration.

You’ll be able to check out the full list of challenges to complete for these rewards when Path of Exile: Ritual launches on PC on January 15th (PST) and consoles on January 20th (PST)!

Along with mechanics Ritual League brings new items, gems and other novices that will share with you later.
