Path of Exile Echoes of the Atlas Guide

Along with the release of the 3.13 patch, a new expansion was added to the game – Echoes of the Atlas. It will allow you to explore the maps in a new way, as well as add many challenges for those who dare to confront The Maven, a mysterious new endgame boss.

But the previous mechanics from Atlas of Worlds still work as you need to find and kill Sirus first. You can read the guide about this in the post below.

Path of Exile Atlas of Worlds Full Guide

How to Find Maven

Exploring the maps, you will stumble upon a mysterious stranger – The Envoy. He will warn you that your actions on the Atlas are being closely monitored and that real trials will soon befall you. You will meet him several more times after a certain number of maps until he warns you directly – Maven has come. On this map, how you will kill the boss will be closely watched by Maven. Kill him, and she will give you her Beacon – a special item that will open up the ability to summon her to the map so that she can keep an eye on how you fight the boss.

Now your Map Device will have a button that at any time (before you opened the map) you can activate or deactivate the Maven call to the map.

How to unlock Atlas Passive Tree Skills

Having met Maven for the first time, she will want you to kill three bosses in her presence in the Atlas region where she appeared. You can see the progress on the number of killed bosses in your Atlas:

However, Maven will require you to kill three different bosses on different maps, so if she was already present on the map, a special note will appear on it:

After you kill the third boss with her, she will drop a special Invitation near the boss.

This is a special arena map (you will have 6 portals), where it will offer you to fight all these treasure bosses at the same time. Defeat them for a special reward! Having died, you will have the opportunity to continue the battle, but as long as there are active portals to this zone. After defeating the bosses, Maven will open the Atlas Skill Tree in this region and give 2 points so that you can choose the talents that are most convenient for you. Also, you can get refund points like that as well. The list of all Atlas Region Skills Trees is in the post below.

After that, you can call Maven to any region of your Atlas (provided that you have already opened Citadel in this region). However, in order to get new skill points for a region in which you have already completed Maven trials, you will have to use higher tier maps, that is, insert an additional Watchstone into this region. You will see a warning if the map range is too low. And the maximum number of skill points in one region is 10.

Endgame content

When killing endgame bosses such as Shaper or Elder (or their Guardians) or Breach Bosses, you may receive a special Maven’s Invitation.

They are of 5 types:

  • Maven’s Invitation: The Formed
    • The Maven must Witness: Lair of the Hydra Map, Maze of the Minotaur Map, Forge of the Phoenix Map, Pit of the Chimera Map
  • Maven’s Invitation: The Twisted
    • The Maven must Witness: The Purifier, The Constrictor, The Enslaver, The Eradicator
  • Maven’s Invitation: The Forgotten
    • The Maven must Witness: Rewritten Distant Memory, Augmented Distant Memory, Altered Distant Memory, Twisted Distant Memory
  • Maven’s Invitation: The Hidden
    • The Maven must Witness: Uul-Netol’s Domain, Xoph’s Domain, Tul’s Domain, Esh’s Domain
  • Maven’s Invitation: The Feared
    • The Maven must Witness: Cortex, Chayula’s Domain, The Alluring Abyss, The Shaper’s Realm, Absence of Value and Meaning

This item can be used to call Maven to join the fight against endgame bosses, making it much more difficult to fight them. Each Maven’s Invitation has its own list of bosses that will have to be killed along with her, as well as the final battle with all of them at the same time. This will open up a very special Passive Skills Tree in the heart of the Atlas. In addition, you can also fight with Maven – for this, you need a special Map Fragment – The Maven’s Writ (Combine 10 Crescent Splinters to create The Maven’s Writ). Crescent Splinters drop in a stack from 2 to 5 during Maven invitation maps depending on the map difficulty.

However, be prepared, only the most persistent heroes will be able to fight her.
