Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas Eldritch Implicit Modifiers

With the release of Siege of the Atlas, a new end-game crafting mechanic, Eldritch Implicit Modifiers, will be added to Path of Exile. With the help of Eldritch Embers and Ichors, players will be able to add or replace existing Implicts on equipment. This will only be available for Body Armour, Boots, Gloves or Helmet. Each item from these categories can have two new Implicits at the same time – one Grand Searing Exarch and one Eater of Worlds. Reusing Ichors will replace the corresponding, already existing Implicit.

You can get new currency items Eldritch Embers and Ichors only on maps, while Ichor is better it is also harder to get. The first tier (lesser) drops on any maps, while the second and third (greater and grand) are only available on maps with the appropriate Influence. The last (exceptional) drops only from bosses – The Eater of Worlds and The Searing Exarch, respectively.

But that’s not all. Eldritch Implicit Modifiers have their own set of available stats, which in turn have six tiers. The first four can be obtained using the corresponding Ichor, which limits the maximum tier: lesser up to the first tier, greater up to the second tier and so on. To get the fifth and sixth, you need a special item – Orb of Conflict (Drops from the Maven and her invitations). It raises the strength of one Searing Exarch or Eater of Worlds modifier and lowers the strength of another. This means that one item can have one modifier of the sixth tier, and the second up to fourth.

If on an item one of the Eldritch Implicit Modifiers has a higher tier than the other, then this mod receives the Dominant status. This is important for new currency items such as Eldritch Chaos Orb, Eldritch Exalted Orb and Eldritch Orb of Annulment. Depending on which of the Eldritch Implicit is dominant depends on the effect of the orb that will be applied to this item. This will allow you to control the crafting process, creating powerful items.
