Path of exile is a free aRPG that earns money on microtransactions. They sell many cosmetics but Path of Exile Supporter Packs were one of the first ones. GGG used to sell them because as an indie project they could rely only on their players. But how have Poe supporter packs changed through the years? Read on to learn more.
Path of Exile supporter packs now includes thematical outfits that change the looks of your gear, weapons or spells. Every new league GGG adds a new set of league-thematic packs. In these years Grinding Gear Games still earn money in microtransactions but starter packs are not the only way to do so. When you enter the shop in PoE you will see a lot of lots from special tabs to pets and other cosmetics. So what do you need Path of Exile Supporter Packs now?
Mainly to celebrate the release of the new league and wear the gear that suits the topic of the league. Other players claim that PoE supporter packs now are playing a role of a voting button. If you enjoy the league you buy Path of Exile Supporter Packs and if you don’t like you relevantly don’t buy. Whatever the reason it is up to you whether to buy them or not. As Path of Exile Supporter Packs give nothing but cosmetics and owning them doesn’t influence the gameplay. So if you want to show off or pay your gratitude to GGG you may buy them.
As we writing this post it is Ultimatum League which is active. So we will briefly describe the current Path of Exile Supporter Packs below.
There are two pairs of packs available that help you celebrate the release of the Ultimatum challenge league with many exclusive effects. Each of the two pairs has different contents, so you can choose whichever one (or both) you prefer. You can upgrade from the cheaper one in a pair to the more expensive later. Will be available until October expansion announcement.
You can upgrade from one of these Supporter Packs to another in the same series by clicking “Upgrade” on the desired pack. The process will include any pure points packs purchased since Apr 07, 2021 11:00 PM (GMT+3). The maximum amount that upgrades can contribute is 80% of the value of a pack. Note that the Core and Ultimatum packs are in different series, so you can’t upgrade from one of those to the other type.
You can see the details and prices above. You can buy them from the game or official website.

This is a separate category of Path of Exile Supporter Packs, they include many previous leagues packs added to the core. So they are called Path of Exile Core Supporter Packs. What GGG says about them:
“The sales of Supporter Packs fund almost all of Path of Exile’s development. Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to pay for the content and server costs of Path of Exile and its many expansions. This support is greatly appreciated. It covers not only our day-to-day development costs but also the development of future expansions and Path of Exile 2.”
Core Supporter Pack Notes:
Intriguing, isn’t it? Also, you will see that every next pack is not only more expensive but also contains new goodies in addition to all previous core packs’ goodies as well.
First Blood Starter Pack is not actually a Core Pack. It is a separate lot designed for new players. The most expansive of all Core Path of Exile Supporter Packs is Atlas Core Supporter Pack it contains all digital and physical goods that GGG has to offer in their Core Supporter Packs.
You can upgrade from one of these Supporter Packs to another in the same series by clicking “Upgrade” on the desired pack. I'm a big fan of Path of Exile, and I'm always looking for new ways to support the game. I think the supporter packs are a great way to do that. They give players a lot of value for their money.
