What is The Genshin Impact HoYoWiki?

If you follow Genshin Impact news you might know that HoYoVersehas launched a new web resource called The Genshin Impact HoYoWiki. In this post, we will tell you details about it and how to use it.

In general, HoYoWiki is a database of all characters, equipment, and monsters. So basically it is an informational resource where you can learn anything you need about Genshin Impact characters or items.

HoYoWiki Characters Genshin Impact

Via the link, you will see the catalogue of all Genshin Impact characters. It is very convenient because you can group the list of characters by parameters from the following clusters:

• Elemental type
• Region
• Quality (4-5 stars)
• Bonus Attributes from Ascencion
• Weapons

You can pick several parameters in one cluster or in several clusters at once. Be careful as there is no “search” button. It means that your search will apply automatically you just need to click anywhere on the page (somewhere you don’t trigger new actions – empty spot).

As a result, you will see all characters that meet the picked parameters. Click on any Genshin Character you want to learn more about and you will see its personalized page.

There you will learn everything that is possible to learn about a character. Description contains all lore and background stories. At Voice-Over there is a text that you can hear in the game (no audio attached). Attributes feature information about the character and voice actors.

But further, there is more interesting information. For example, in the ascend section you will see all the ingredients needed to level up (ascend) a character. In addition, under the table, you will see a link “Click to view the interactive map”. Click there and you will see a customized map that will show you where to find gatherable materials for the character. You can see the example of such a map below.

In the gallery, you will see official pictures of the character that are used in wishes and a character card. Talents are shown perfectly. You will see the description of every skill on every level with videos. The Constellation section has a description of every upgrade.

HoYoWiki Equipment

The equipment section is divided into two parts. First of all, there is a weapon section. Similar to characters they can be sorted out by several parameters by the same working principle:

• Secondary Attributes
• Weapons (meaning type)
• Quality (1-5 star)

Again you need to click on an empty spot to apply a search. It is a very handy tool if you need to find a weapon that grants a particular secondary attribute. For example, a bow with a CRIT Rate. You immediately see all possible options. You can also click on a bow now and check its stats, including ascension materials and description.

The other section contains artifacts. They can only be sorted by set bonus. You can see all of them in the list on the screenshot. You can pick as much as you want set bonuses at once and click on the empty spot on the page to see the results of the search.

Every artifact set has its page as well where you will find a description of 2 and 4 set bonus, which you can also see in the general list. But on the separate page, there is more description of each item.

HoYoWiki Living Beings

There are two types of them on the HoYoWiki – enemies (like bosses) and monsters. But you will see a single list of all of them without sorting. So if you need to find a particular monster you need to scroll and find it with your eyes. Yes, scroll because the page has a lazy load.

You will see loot that you can get from this or that Genshin Impact monster or enemy. Each of them has a personalized page where you will find more lore and the full list of loot. We have a feeling that this section will be updated in some time because it doesn’t look very complete, convenient or informative.
