Dendro Element Genshin Impact

There are seven elements in Genshin Impact that form gameplay. The game is based on elemental reactions and different combinations that support your fighting performance. Dendro is the last active s element added to the game. This post will tell you how the Dendro element works in Genshin Impact.

What element is Dendro?

Dendro is an element that can deal aggressive damage or react with other elements to enhance its potential. Dendro doesn’t trigger reactions with all other six elements though. Below you can see Dendro resonance effects and all Dendro reactions.

It is also worth knowing about the distinguishing symbols of the Dendro element. This is the icon and the colour. We will use them in this and future posts to denote the Dendro element.

Also, each element in Genshin Impact has its own zone and archon. The homeland of the Dendro element is Sumeru and the name of the archon is the Lesser Lord Kusanali the God of wisdom.

Dendro Resonance

Elemental Resonance activates in Genshin Impact when you have at least two characters with the same active element. Depending on the element it activates the relevant resonance and specific bonuses. The Dendro Resonance is the following:

• Sprawling Greenery: After triggering Burning, Quicken, or Bloom reactions, all nearby party members gain 30 Elemental Mastery for 6s. After triggering Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, all nearby party members gain 20 Elemental Mastery for 6s. The duration of the aforementioned effects will be counted independently.

This makes Dendro Resonance useful for casting teams.

Dendro Reactions

Each element in Genshin Impact has specific elements reactions that determine its gameplay options. Different carriers of the corresponding element use it differently, which also affects the style of play, but the reactions themselves have certain invariable effects regardless of the game character.

Dendro has the following Elemental Reactions:

• Quicken: Applies a Quicken aura:
  • Aggravate: Triggered when applying Electro to an entity with the Quicken aura. Adds Flat DMG Bonus to the attack that triggers this reaction.
  • Spread: Triggered when applying Dendro to an entity with the Quicken aura. Adds Flat DMG Bonus to the attack that triggers this reaction.
• Bloom: Creates a Dendro Core that explodes after 6 seconds, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.
  • Hyperbloom: Triggered when applying Electro to a Dendro Core. Transforms the Dendro Core into a homing Sprawling Shot that deals increased AoE Dendro DMG in a much smaller AoE.
  • Burgeon: Triggered when applying Pyro to a Dendro Core. Detonates the Dendro Core immediately, dealing increased AoE Dendro DMG.
• Burning: Deals AoE Pyro DoT and applies Pyro.

As you see Dendro element trigger reactions only with three elements: Electro , Hydro, and Pyro. But Hydro is used to create Dendro cores that you need to activate with other elements Pyro or Electro to trigger the reactions we described above.

Wood Element

Wood is one of Dendro‘s sister elements. The Wood element is similar to Dendro, but can only react with Pyro to trigger Burning. Quicken and Bloom cannot be triggered using the Wood element.

Objects with the Wood element include:

• Wooden Shield Hilichurl Guard’s shield
• Wooden Shieldwall Mitachurl’s shield
• Dendro Samachurl’s vines
• Bushes
• Grass
• Shrubs
• Vines
• Wooden Barrel
• Wooden Barrier
• Wooden Crate

These things are associated with the environment and enemies.
