Any RPG is focused on character. The whole game depends on the effectiveness of the character in a fight and other situations. This effectiveness is determined by character stats of course. In this post, you will learn about Elder Ring stats and status effects.
There are 8 main stats in Elder Ring accompanied by several dozen secondary stats that make your character stronger and more effective in different situations. Also, there are different ways to modify your stats. Classically in Elden Ring, it can be done by level, but also by equipment and any active buffs and effects. You can check those parameters in your status menu. Naturally, stats influence your attack, defence, and resistances bestowed by armaments and armour that you have equipped.
As we have already mentioned the easiest way to increase your stats is to level up. In Elden Ring you can level up by exchanging Runes that you collect from defended monsters. this activity will unlock after you meet Melina for the first time almost at the beginning of the game. Also, your stats are affected by current equipment and active buffs from Magic or items. Your goal is to find the balance between these aspects.
Level is a cumulative figure that represents the overall character and attributes growth. The max level for all stats was 99. After reaching the level cap you can no longer level up any of those stats. The highest level possible, when all eight stats are at 99, is 713.
Attribute soft cap is the point where a certain stat when levelled up will have a diminished return. Every attribute in the game has a soft cap and knowing these can greatly assist with your stat distribution.
To unlock the ability to respec your stats you’ll need to defeat Rennala Queen of the Full Moon. You can find her at Raya Lucaria Academy – Liurnia of the Lakes. When you defeat Rennala Queen of the Full Moon you will be able to reset point allocations via Rebirth and redistribute all of your earned Stat points. But to fulfil this action you will be required of a Larval Tear. Also, note that you cannot decrease your level by this action. So you will redistribute all the attributes you’ve earned so far.
There are different effects that can apply to your character or to an NPC during the fight. Depending on the attacks the gauge meter fills and changes the status of the applied effect.
You can cure status effects at a Site of Grace in addition you will also recover HP and FP. Besides, Sites of Grace there are some spells in Elden Ring that can help recover from some status effects as well. Another option is to use Incantation
