What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Venti has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Venti’s skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Venti talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Venti.
Wind’s Grand Ode is Venti’s Elemental Burst. It is one of the most useful abilities among all Anemo characters used to control the crowd. Venti fires an arrow that makes a circle that sucks in enemies and deals continuous Anemo DMG.
Skyward Sonnet is Venti’s Elemental Skill. This ability is also used for control. If you press it Venti will launch an arrow at enemies that will create a wind that deals AoE Anemo DMG and launches opponents into the air. On hold, the wind will be created under Venti’s feet but will make the same effect to the enemies around you.
Divine Marksmanship is Venti’s Normal Attack. It is similar to any bow attack. You will perform 6 different shots. Or you can hold to make an aimed shot dealing Anemo damage. A plunged attack fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

That means that first, you need to activate the permanent source of some element. Like Fischl’s crow, which deals Electro damage. And after that use Venti’s Elemental Burst in it. So you will regenerate 15 Energy for all party members.

Venti is a good Sub-DPS or Support, but sometimes you can use him as a main DPS as well. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Venti team comps that we find decent. But let’s start from the Genshin Impact free to play Venti team comp.
This team focuses on Venti’s Elemental Burst which will deal damage from Xiangling’s Elemental Skill. As you have two Pyro characters they will activate Pyeo resonance and deal more pyro damage. Venti’s Elemental Burst will melt enemies and restore energy for everyone. While Barbara will heal and activate Vaporize if needed.
If you don’t need a healer you can try Lisa in this comp to deal even more damage from Lisa’s and Venti’s Burst with Xiangling’s Elemental skill.
In such a composition, Venti will be used for his ultimate. You can activate Venti’s Burst to get high damage between Ganyu and Mona combos. Ganyu would be the main DPS. But you won’t need to focus on elemental reactions but on her charged attack. Mona, on the other hand, will provide constant Hydro damage and effect to activate almost permanent Freeze. Her Burst will also further increase damage done to enemies. Diona is the best support in such team not only because of her shield and healing but also due to her Cryo powers, which activate Cryo resonance and increase Ganyu’s damage significantly.
Anemo Resonance decreases Stamina Consumption by 15%, increases Movement SPD by 10%, shortens Skill CD by 5%. That is very useful from Xiao who will be the main DPS in this comp. He will have a lot of damage and reduced CD so he will deal with it almost permanently. Bennett will make it even better because his Burst will increase damage and let Venti’s Elemental Burst generate energy for everyone on the team. Zhongli is a great defender with his shield.
It is almost the same as free-to-play Venti comp but with better characters. Diluc is much better as the main DPS and Pyro character and he can change Xiangling. Bennett is a healer who boosts damage and Xingqiu activate permanent Vaporize with his Elemental Burst. This team is one of the best because you can obtain any of the characters in the standard banner (except for Venti of course).
