Some of them you will unlock for free others are rare and you’ll need some time to unlock them. In any case, to build a good team to play Genshin Impact you will need to know what characters are better than others to focus on building a team around them. Main DPS

Besides Elemental Reactions, the game also features Elemental Resonance. These are the positive effects that your entire current team gains, depending on the combinations of elemental characters in it. These bonuses stack, and apply in Co-Op Mode. The most effective of these for dealing damage are Vaporize, Superconductor or Swirl.

Roles (Energy Generation)

When creating a team, remember that in Genshin Impact characters have 3 main roles they can take and be good at, sometimes more than one:

Main DPS: Deal damage constantly while your other character’s cooldowns are coming back. A good main dps is capable of dealing constant damage, while the other team members help him in this.

Sub DPS: A character then deals damage with their CD skills and your primary source of Elemental Reactions.

Support: Any healers, buffers, and controllers. They offer utility rather than just damage – good healer can save lots of food, and is also indispensable for Spiral Abyss.

Usually the team consists of Main DPS, two Sub DPS and Support.
