Genshin Impact is available on multiple platforms. You can download and play it on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 as well as your mobile devices (Android and iOS). Until recently players didn’t have the ability to play the same saves on different platforms. But as Genshin Impact 2.0 was released Genshin Impact cross-play features became available for all.

So how does Genshin Impact cross-play work? Previously to get access to your saves from PC on your mobile phone you needed to connect the game to one of the social media accounts. In that case, all your saves are available from the cloud identified by your social media account. Now you don’t have to link it that way, which makes it possible to play Genshin Impact on PlayStation, PC and mobile cross-platformly.

As for the miHoYo account. It is a must if you want to play Genshin Impact and have access to Genshin Impact cross play features. You can register your account before downloading the game here. Click in ‘Log In’ and fill in all the fields that you see on the screen.

As you can see you can log in or register using any of the following social media: Gmail, AppStore, Facebook or Twitter. These are easy options that don’t require much time. But if you want your Genshin Impact cross playwork correctly you should consider registering with traditional methods. You will be asked to register by email, which must be confirmed (you will be sent a code), and make up a strong password. After that, you are ready to launch the game.

You can also register when you launch Genshin Impact with the exact options. If you have registered via the website all you need is log in with those credentials. Cross-play has activated automatically and is linked to your miHoYo account, so don’t forget the password or username! But if you do, just recover it as usual and all your saves are accessible from any platform again.
