What is most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Alhaitham has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Alhaitham’s skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Alhaitham talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Alhaitham.
Universality: An Elaboration on Form is Alhaitham’s Elemental Skill. Alhaitham’s Skill can quickly close the gap to targets, though its more important feature is its Mirror generation. When used, it generates two Mirrors if he has none, and one Mirror otherwise.
Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena is Alhaitham‘s Elemental Burst. Alhaitham’s Burst can be used as either a utility tool to generate Mirrors or as a nuke. His Burst deals additional hits based on how many Mirrors it consumes, and refunds Mirrors equal to 3 minus the number of Mirrors consumed (e.g. consuming 1 Mirror generates 2 Mirrors). Note that the Mirrors generated from Alhaitham’s Burst are only granted 2 seconds after his Burst animation finishes.
Abductive Reasoning is Alhaitham‘s Normal Attack. Alhaitham’s Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks and Plunge Attacks are converted to Dendro when he has at least one Mirror. His converted attacks use the same scaling as his Normal Attack Talent, so leveling this Talent does marginally increase his damage.

As for the constellations. Alhaitham is a complete unit at C0 and has relatively underwhelming Constellations for a recent 5-star character. It is recommended to either go for C0 or C6. No intermediate Constellations are really worth their cost.
There are several roles that all characters obtain in Genshin Impact. Your perfect team would consist of the Main DPS, 2 SUB-DPS characters and one Support. Main DPS is occupied by a character that can deal a decent amount of damage from all sources, auto attacks, elemental reactions and elemental bursts. Sub DPSs are needed to activate reactions that boost the main DPS’ damage or deal some extra damage while the main DPS is sticking their elemental burst. Support can vary typically it is a healer/shielder, but in some cases, it can be a battery (the character that stacks elemental burst for the team) or a spreader (the character that can spread reactions activated by all the characters).
Alhaitham is a good DPS, especially at C6. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Alhaitham team comps that we find decent. But let’s start with the Genshin Impact free-to-play Alhaitham team comp.
Quickbloom teams use a lower amount of Hydro application compared to Dendro application in order to maintain full Quicken uptime while triggering occasional Hyperblooms. Hyperbloom teams feature more abundant Hydro application, resulting in notably lower Quicken uptime and a much greater portion of team damage coming from Hyperblooms. Alhaitham serves more of an on-field driver role in such teams. It may be beneficial to run two Hydro units to keep up with Alhaitham’s on-field Dendro application to maximize Bloom count. You can consider taking better characters and it will serve you even better.
Alhaitham works amazing with Hyperbloom & Spread Comps. Nahida can provide additional EM and DMG for the team. Yae Miko is great off-field Electro for consistent activation of Spread and Hyperbloom. Kokomi is the main enabler, allowing consistent production of Bloom Orbs and additional damage as well.
Alhaitham excels as a Spread DPS due to his high Dendro application and extensive EM scaling. He can run with multiple Electro units that can contribute substantial off-field damage via Aggravate. A secondary Dendro unit can also be slotted in for extra Spread procs and Dendro Resonance.
