What is most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Kazuha has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Kazuha’s skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Kazuha talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Kazuha.
Kazuha Slash is Kazuha’s Elemental Burst. It a is very powerful ability that allows Kazuha to deal a lot of Anemo damage but also absorbs elements around (only ones) and leads to additional elemental DMG of the type of the element absorbed. Those elements can be: Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro.
Chihayaburu is Kazuha’s Elemental Skill. This skill allows Kazuha to jump high and perform a plunged attack. But in addition, it also pulls surrounding enemies together and so he deals AoE Anemo damage (if hold). When you simply press Elemental Skill it will be used in mid-air.
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG. On landing, Kazuha creates a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.
Garyuu Bladework is Kazuha’s Normal Attack. Kazuha uses a sword so you will see 5 different moves for a short sword but also there are some additional effects. There are two types of plunged attacks. The first one that Kazuha performs without activating Elemental Skill it has the following effects:

If Chihayaburu comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro when cast, Chihayaburu will absorb that element and if Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan is used before the effect expires, it will deal an additional 200% ATK of the absorbed elemental type as DMG. This will be considered Plunging Attack DMG.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use of Chihayaburu.
This makes Kazuha a really strong main DPS character with lots of elemental and Anemo damage with controlling effects.

Upon triggering a Swirl reaction, Kaedehara Kazuha will grant all party members a 0.04% Elemental DMG Bonus to the element absorbed by Swirl for every point of Elemental Mastery he has for 8s. Bonuses for different elements obtained through this method can co-exist.

As for the constellations. Kazuha is one of the characters who really needs all constellations to become one of the strongest characters. Every new constalletion eighter empowered him, decreases CD or increases recharge speed by adding recharge points. All of these approaches him to perform his Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill almost without cooldowns. Which is extremely important for Kazuha as he isn’t strong in normal attacks.
There are several roles that all characters obtain in Genshin Impact. Your perfect team would consist of the Main DPS, 2 SUB-DPS characters and one Support. Main DPS is occupied by a character that can deal a decent amount of damage from all sources, auto attacks, elemental reactions and elemental bursts. Sub DPSs are needed to activate reactions that boost the main DPS’ damage or deal some extra damage while the main DPS is sticking their elemental burst. Support can vary typically it is a healer/shielder, but in some cases, it can be a battery (the character that stacks elemental burst for the team) or a spreader (the character that can spread reactions activated by all the characters).
Kazuha is a classical sub-DPS that deals a lot of Anemo damage especially if you decrease the resistance of enemies and perform plunging attacks. But he can also become main-DPS, especially on C6. Kazuha will perform well in many teams, but you will need to pick good reactions for swirl effects. A healer or shield defender will be a plus.
Kazuha will have an advantage with Anemo resonance, which decreases stamina consumption by 15%, increases movement SPD by 10%, and shortens skill CD by 5%. The last one is very important for Kazuha. Barabara is a healer and provides Hydro for the reactions. Xiangling can place her elemental skill and provide an additional source for elemental reactions with Kazuha’s abilities.
Kazuha is a good choice for strong sub-DPS with abilities that spread reactions and let other champions deal even more damage. Therefore it is good to combine Kazuha with the characters that can trigger strong elemental reactions. Everything depends on your taste, you can build a strong team with pyro through melt reaction. Or you can try frost combos from the list above. Ayaka would be the main DPS with Xingqiu’s Elemental Burst during Kazuha’s Elemental Burst which will enhance reactions. Diona is a good healer and makes Ayaka’s abilities stronger due to Cryo Resonance. But you can also take Bennett instead of her to enter with Kazuha’s Burst just after Bennett’s to provide a wider range of elemental reactions.
In this team, Kazuha will perform as a sub-DPS while Hu Tao will be the main DPS. You will need to swap between Yelan, Hu Tao and Kazuha. Yelan will activate two different reactions and release those characters’ potential. Zhongli is used as a shield defender here.
One more full 5-star team for Kazuha. He is a sub-DPS here and Ayaka is the main DPS. Shenhe is the best character that boosts Cryo damage, so it will make Ayaka extremely powerful. Kokomi will apply Hydro for swirl reaction and for freeze. This team has lots of control and damage.
