What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Kokomi has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Kokomi skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Kokomi talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Kokomi.
Kurage’s Oath is Kokomi’s Elemental Skill. It deals AoE Hydro DMG. Summons a “Bake-Kurage” created from water that can heal her allies. Using this skill will apply the Wet status to Sangonomiya Kokomi. Bake-Kurage. Deals Hydro DMG to surrounding opponents and heal nearby active characters at fixed intervals. This healing is based on Kokomi’s Max HP.
Nereid’s Ascension is Kokomi’s Elemental Burst. Summons the might of Watatsumi, dealing Hydro DMG to surrounding opponents, before robing Kokomi in a Ceremonial Garment made from the flowing waters of Sangonomiya.
These effects will be cleared once Sangonomiya Kokomi leaves the field.
The Shape of Water is Kokomi’s Normal Attack. Performs up to 3 consecutive attacks that take the form of swimming fish, dealing Hydro DMG. If charged attack consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Hydro DMG after a short casting time. And plunging attack – Gathering the might of Hydro, Kokomi plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Hydro DMG upon impact with the ground.

There are several roles that all characters obtain in Genshin Impact. Your perfect team would consist of the Main DPS, 2 SUB-DPS characters and one Support. Main DPS is occupied by a character that can deal a decent amount of damage from all sources, auto attacks, elemental reactions and elemental bursts. Sub DPSs are needed to activate reactions that boost the main DPS’ damage or deal some extra damage while the main DPS is sticking their elemental burst. Support can vary typically it is a healer/shielder, but in some cases, it can be a battery (the character that stacks elemental burst for the team) or a spreader (the character that can spread reactions activated by all the characters).
Kokomi is a Support character with great healing effects. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Kokomi team comps that we find decent. But let’s start from the Genshin Impact free to play Kokomi team comp.
In this comp like in any other Kokomi will heal the team and provide Hydro for elemental reactions. Kaeya will freeze and deal damage as main DPS, while Xiangling will be sub DPS with strong melt and vaporize reactions. Lisa can be one more sub DPS and the source of Electro element for elemental reactions.
If you prefer ranged characters you can change Xiangling for Amber, but she is not that good.
Sangonomiya Kokomi can be a good support thanks to her ability of quickly spreading Hydro element to enemies. The best comp for Kokomi will contain Cryo characters as she is perfect for freezing and healing in such comps. Ayaka deals more damage to wet enemies and that makes her great main DPS for a comp with Kokomi. Kazuha is a great assist with gathering enemies so that Kokomi can spread Hydro to more enemies. Raiden will help your team not only by dealing damage, but to recover energy faster.
Here you will see Ayaka as main DPS dealing increased Cryo damage boosted by Raiden. Also, Ayaka will have increased Physical damage which is important for all melee characters. Kazuha can assist the team by grouping enemies together, applying crowd control, spread elemental attachment, provide DMG buff to teammates. Kokomi is a healer that also provides Hydro for freeze reaction.

If you prefer other reactions you can take Yoimiya instead of Kazuha. In case you don’t have Kazuha but obtain Venti, you can take him as well.
Hu Tao will is main DPS supported by Bennett with Elemental Resonance and Elemental Burst. Also, Kokomi and Bennett will heal Hu Tao which is very important. Kazuha will reduce reduction and collect the enemies together.
This is a good alternative if you don’t have Kazuha but have Venti.
