What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.

Bane of All Evil is Xiao’s Elemental Burst. It is the main advantage of Xiao as a character. All his damage is converted into Anemo damage, but also it changes mechanics. He now can jump really multiple times and deal damage from Plunging Attack (because he is really high when he jumps). So you need to activate Burst, jump and click normal attack, and repeat multiple times while the Burst is active.
Whirlwind Thrust is Xiao’s Normal Attack. As we mentioned before elemental Burst makes it possible for Xiao to deal with multiple Plunging Attacks. It is logical to upgrade Normal Attack to deal even more damage. As a bonus, Xiao doesn’t take damage from Plunging Attacks.
Lemniscatic Wind Cycling is Xiao’s Elemental Skill. Xiao lunges forward, dealing Anemo DMG to opponents in his path. Can be used in mid-air. Starts with 2 charges.

Anemo Traveler can provide energy enabling Xiao to cast his burst easily. Also, Xiao has good synergy with Barbara’s water ring. Noelle can improve Xiao’s survivability with her shields.
In this comp, Sucrose assures Elemental Resonance and gathers enemies with his ability. She also increases Xiao’s Elemental Mastery and generates much Anemo Energy to keep up Xiao’s Burst. Zhongli’s shield comes in handy in damage prevention while also giving a moving debuff and crowd control to the enemies. The main heal comes from Bennett during Burst for Xiao’s HP drain.
Mona is a great help with her Hydro and taunt. Zhongli’s shield provides a safe environment for Xiao, by using the full set of Archaic Petra, picking up Anemo crystal can increase Anemo DMG of Xiao. Jean acts as a battery for the energy charge of Xiao’s Elemental Burst and also triggers Anemo Elemental Resonance increasing movement speed and decreasing CD for Xiao.
