Path of Exile 3.14 Ultimatum Modifiers Guide

Path of Exile Ultimatum league has very simple mechanics, which you can read in our previous guide: Path of Exile 3.14 Ultimatum Mechanics Guide. But still, you can find ways to make your Ultimatum run more effective. We have written tips about Ultimatum Modifiers about what of them fit your build and you can activate them and which of them are better to avoid.

Ultimatum Modifiers Full List

Below you can see the full list of all Path of Exile 3.14 Ultimatum Modifiers with their description. After that, you will find Ultimatum tips.

The list of them you can see here.

PoE Ultimatum Tips – What to pick and avoid?

Everything depends on your build. The main principle is to activate those modifiers that don’t affect your build mechanics or those that you can easily evade. For example, if you play with a channelling build it will be smart to avoid modifiers that spawn clouds that follow you or areas that deal damage if you stand in them or next to them, such as Stormcaller Runes.

What modifiers to pick?

If you play a build that uses evasion and dodge for defence the best choice is ruin mechanic modifiers: Ruin, Stalking Ruin and Restless Ground III.

Modifiers that are easy for mobile builds are Choking Miasma, Razor Dance.

If your build doesn’t have skills or spells with cooldown you can choose Less Cooldown Recovery modifier. The same strategy can follow players who play builds without buffs and pick Buffs Expire Faster modifier.

Strong builds with a lot of damage and fast clearing speed are great against modifiers that strengthen monsters such as Escalating Monster Speed or Bonus Chaos Damage. In this case, you can also take modifiers that influence the size of the arena – Bonus Chaos Damage.

What Ultimatum modifiers are better to avoid?

Next, you will read about modifiers that are not safe or can be dangerous to pick almost for any build.

  • Hindering Flasks and Limited Flasks – almost all builds are vulnerable without flasks.
  • Reduced Recovery is not recommended for builds with high Life and Energy Shield Regen or depend on mana.
  • Lightning Damage from Mana Costs on levels 2 and 3 will melt players who spam mana-expensive abilities.
  • Treacherous Auras is obviously tough and dangerous for builds where auras play important role in defence or damage dealing.

Also, don’t forget to read what the winning conditions are. Some trials will have easy ones like defeating monsters, but others will require you to protect the totem or survive for a certain amount of time. All of these can influence your success in addition to modifiers, so be careful and don’t rush in making the choice.
