Valorant Weapons Tier List – Best Weapons To Use

As we said earlier, there will soon be an official release of the Valorant game. Drops with access to closed beta have already been closed. And the testing itself closes on May 28th.

In this regard, it would not hurt to prepare for the upcoming games. Since the game is mainly built on learning how to operate with weapons of different types, you should first study what types of weapons are in Valorant. Our Valorant Best Weapons Tier List will give you a general idea of that.

This simplified table will help you quickly and clearly choose weapons from higher tiers. Also don’t forget that you can have three types of weapons at ones knife (the same for everyone), short gun and main weapon.

Valorant Best Weapons Tier List

Well, now we will tell in more detail about each weapon in Valorant. We will start from the S tier and continue to the weakest ones.

S Tier (best weapons)

You should be careful when picking the best weapon in Valorant. Because just having it won’t do any trick, you need to shoot with it greatly. For example, if headshots are hard for you don’t pick Vandal, take Phantom instead. Or maybe you have a great reaction and hiding skills, then you should consider taking an Operator. Always think about your personal skills, map and game phase when choosing your weapons.

Vandal

Type: Rifle
Cost: 2900
Fire Mode: Full Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 156|39|33
Mag Size: 25
Fire Rate: 9.25
Penetration: Medium

Vandal showed great rate in closed beta. It has high headshot damage almost at any range. It is quick and easy to recharge. Also, it costs not that much, so you can afford it pretty soon. The first 5-6 bullets that you fire from Vandal have a high accuracy rate, so it is awesome for headshots. Moreover, it has good recoil control.

Phantom

Type: Rifle
Cost: 2900
Fire Mode: Full Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 156|39|33
Mag Size: 30
Fire Rate: 11
Penetration: Medium

If you are still learning how to make instant headshots Phantom will work for you perfectly. Also, it has a higher magazine size and fire rate. So it takes lead in the short and medium-range fight. Perfect for spray and play lovers.

Operator

Type: Sniper
Cost: 4500
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (H|B|L): 255|150|127
Mag Size: 5
Fire Rate: 0.75
Penetration: High

If you are a great sniper there is no better weapon for you. You will need one shot to kill an enemy if you hit a head and body (almost always). But you need to pay attention to your positioning. Also it won’t be useful to have more then one sniper in a team.

Spectre

Type: SMG
Cost: 1600
Fire Mode: Full Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 78|26|22
Mag Size: 30
Fire Rate: 15.33
Penetration: Medium

Spectre is the best choice in the second round. Then you’ll have enough credits to buy it. You can take over your enemy with two headshots even with full armour. In overall it is a good weapon but with lower recoil control.

Ghost

Type: Sidearm
Cost: 500
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 105|33|26
Mag Size: 15
Fire Rate: 6.75
Penetration: Medium

Ghost is the best starting gun. You can easily get certain kills with it. If your enemies didn’t buy armour you get oneshot them with a headshot. With a great accuracy and decent recoil control Ghost is the best in its category.

A Tier (strong weapons)

If you cannot take or play with the weapons from the S tier, you can consider these strong Valorant weapons.

Ares

Type: Heavy
Cost: 1700
Fire Mode: Full Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 72|30|25
Mag Size: 50
Fire Rate: 10/13
Penetration: High

If you win in the first round it will be useful to take Ares to confirm your victory. It is more suitable in attack and on maps with a lot of penetrative obstacles.

Judge

Type: Shotgun
Cost: 1500
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 36|17|14
Mag Size: 7
Fire Rate: 1.5
Penetration: Medium

Out of all shotguns Judge is the best. But nothing special though.

Marshal

Type: Sniper
Cost: 1100
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (H|B|L): 202|101|85
Mag Size: 5
Fire Rate: 1.5
Penetration: Medium

Marshal is a great choice if you are a good sniper but don’t have credits for Operator. You still can oneshot enemies in head, but enemies with armour can make you some troubles as you will need to shoot them twice to kill.

Sheriff

Type: Sidearm
Cost: 800
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 160|55|47
Mag Size: 6
Fire Rate: 4
Penetration: High

If you are great with headshots consider taking Sheriff in the first round. You will oneshot enemies and penetrate obstacles. Although it doesn’t have good accuracy after several shots and recoil control is low.

B Tier (good weapons)

Stinger

Type: SMG
Cost: 1000
Fire Mode: Full Auto/4-Burst
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 67|27|23
Mag Size: 20
Fire Rate: 18
Penetration: Low

If you prefer to shoot in low range it will fit you perfectly. But it takes around 3 headshots to kill an enemy. On the other hand it is cheap and effective.

Guardian

Type: Rifle
Cost: 2700
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 185|65|49
Mag Size: 12
Fire Rate: 8.5
Penetration: Medium

This one is good if you prefer single-fire weapons. But it is less effective than other rifles, like Vandal or Phantom. But it has fast recoil and very good accuracy.

Odin

Type: Heavy
Cost: 3200
Fire Mode: Full Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 95|38|32
Mag Size: 100
Fire Rate: 12/15.8
Penetration: High

Odin is a power machine in short range. But you cannot head shot with it. On the other hand you can spray and play with it. You can use it effectively in attack when entering the point.

C Tier (average weapons)

Bucky

Type: Shotgun
Cost: 900
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 44|22|19
Mag Size: 8
Fire Rate: 1.1
Penetration: Low

Even though it is less effective than other weapons you can make it a deadly weapon with a left click in a short range. Although we don’t recommend count on this Bucky much as it is very situative.

Bulldog

Type: Rifle
Cost: 2100
Fire Mode: Full Auto/3-Burst
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 159|35|30
Mag Size: 24
Fire Rate: 9.15
Penetration: Medium

The Bulldog has a fairly large recoil and high bullet spread. Its right click (1.25x zoom) on the other hand makes it possible to shoot three grouped bullets in semi-auto. These were the main advantages of Bulldog.

Classic

Type: Sidearm
Cost: 0
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 78|26|22
Mag Size: 12
Fire Rate: 6.75
Penetration: Low

It is a starting weapon. It is better to take any other sidearm, but still Classic is not that bad. You can kill enemies with two headshots regardless of their armour. Also, in quick succession, you make several accurate shots.

D Tier (weak weapons)

Shorty

Type: Sidearm
Cost: 200
Fire Mode: Semi-Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 36|22|19
Mag Size: 2
Fire Rate: 3.3
Penetration: Low

The best advice here is to save those 200 credits for future or buy anything else. Even if short range and with all the headshots you’ve got you won’t have a chance to kill anyone.

Frenzy

Type: Sidearm
Cost: 400
Fire Mode: Full Auto
Dmg (Head|Body|Leg): 78|26|22
Mag Size: 13
Fire Rate: 10
Penetration: Low

It can be useful in one versus one in the first round. But with its poor recoil and small magazine Frenzy is a very weak weapon.

Tactical Knife

Type: Knife
Cost: 0
Fire Mode: –
Dmg Light|Heavy slash: 50|75
Mag Size: –
Fire Rate: –
Penetration: –

Actually it is a starting item and you will use it in two cases. The first one when you want to move fast. The second one if you ran out of bullets in all weapons. But don’t fight with it really
