From hate to friendship. Hunting with Hans Capon- KCD Walkthrough

Let’s go back to my original idea of describing the plot of the first part of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Last time we focused on Henry’s unconsciousness at the mill. There, Teresa explained to Henry that his treatment had cost the miller a fortune and that he should recover as soon as possible to pay off his debt for treatment and care. But Henry decided to go straight to Mr. Radzig to report his misfortunes.

Sir Radzig was surprised that Henry cared about such trivial matters as a newly forged sword, but Henry didn’t give up and asked to join Sir Radzig’s service to get even with his family’s offenders and return the sword to Radzig.

Everyone is shocked by this audacious request, especially the young lord of Rattay, Sir Hans Capon, with whom Radzig has taken refuge. But Radzig himself was obviously not averse to taking the perky Henry on bail, citing the fact that he had a debt to pay to Henry’s father. That was the decision, and Sir Hanush of Leipa, the regent of Sir Hans, who was in charge of Rattay’s affairs, sent Henry to study with Captain Bernard.

As the days went by, Henry’s zeal knew no bounds, and he enrolled in training and devoted himself to swordplay, until a young lord of Rattai, Sir Hans, missed no opportunity to annoy or tease Henry. It got to the point where he challenged Henry to an archery competition and, after losing, asked for revenge in a sword duel. Henry gladly accepts the offer and wins against Hans, which only fueled the young men’s dislike for each other.

In the meantime, Henry continues his training and joins the Rattay bailiff’s office as a local guard. Having received his equipment, he goes on a sort of training with Yaroslav, nicknamed “Nightingale,” to practice resolving conflicts between the locals and ensuring order on the streets of Ratay. The day is slowly going well. Henry is performing well on duty and he and Nightingale even played dice in a local tavern. The only thing left to do was to ring the bell and make sure the taverns closed by the next day.

But Sir Hans has his own plans for the tavern and the evening. Henry politely asks him to obey the beilif’s orders, but Sir Hans decides to show who’s boss. “Sir Hanush,” Henry replied with a smug face. And then the scythe hit a rock. The young men started a fight right there in the tavern. Sir Hanush appears at the right time. Having a very good sense of humour and a steady compass of justice, he punishes Hans and Henry with a joint hunt. Both boys are extremely disappointed with this decision.

The next morning, the young men set off on a hunting trip. Henry, having his own horse, surprised Hans, although he didn’t show it. On the way to the hunting grounds, Sir Hans decides to get even with Henry and forget old grievances. Henry sincerely accepts the offer, and the two young men slowly begin to enjoy the hunt together, which hasn’t even started yet. At the rest stop, they talked about life and events in Skalitz over wine and left the hunt until the morning.

At dawn, Hans makes a bet with Henry that he will catch more hares than him. Henry gladly accepts the bet and the guys hunt separately until noon. When they meet again in the camp, Hans is no longer ashamed of his loss and eagerly suggests that Henry go on a “real” hunt, because he heard a boar somewhere nearby. But this idea doesn’t end well. They do find the boar, but Hans’ arrow doesn’t kill it, and it runs away. The boys rode after him as fast as they could, but the boar led the lord right into the cumans’ camp!

Then the events unfold quickly. Hans’ horse stands on its haunches, a cuman archer shoots the horse in the chest and it falls, throwing the lord, who hits his head on a stone. Henry hurries up and stands alone in the middle of the camp. Luckily, there are only two of them and Henry already knows how to counterattack, so he defeats the enemies almost without difficulty. But Sir Hans cannot boast of any successes; he stood up with difficulty and couldn’t remember what happened. Henry somehow brought the lord to Rattay, where he was given all possible help and left everything in the hands of God.

Thus, from passive-aggressive opponents, Henry and Sir Hans become friends who have shared a near-death experience, in which Henry also saved Sir’s life, and for which Henry receives his second horse as a reward (if I hadn’t bought mine, it would have been the first).

This is how events are unfolding with our Henry. And it will only get more interesting. I hope that you enjoy my brief summaries of the plot. Because it gives me pleasure to tell them. Thank you for staying with me and see you in the new adventures in medieval Bohemia!
