Genshin Impact Gardening Guide

The New Inazuma region brought a lot of fun and gameplay features along with new characters and an Electro element for the Traveler. In this post, we will tell you more about gardening in Genshin Impact, how to unlock it and how it works.

Starting from July 21, 2021 along with the release of Genshin Impact 2.0 there was a new update to your Housing System’s Serenitea Pot. Now you can plant seeds and grow plants there. But before we talk about Genshin Impact Gardening itself let’s learn how to unlock it.

How to unlock gardening in Genshin Impact?

The first and most important thing is that you will need to reach Reputation level 3 with the Inazuma region. And after that complete the quest called “The Art of Horticulture” from Madame Ping. After that, you will be able to grow different types of plants such as vegetables, flowers, and some local specialities.

How does Genshin Impact Gardening work?

The next logical question is how to get things done. There are several steps that you need to follow to succeed in the gardening system in Genshin Impact:

• collect different types of seeds
• place fields in the Serenitea Pot
• plant seeds on those fields
• wait the seeds to grow
• harvest

So how do you collect the seeds? To activate such possibility you’ll need to equip the Seed Dispensary. After that go to the open world and collect the items: 1 Item collected = 1 Item Seed. On the other hand, you can purchase seed from Tubby, in Realm Depot.

As for the gardening fields in Genshin Impact, you can only buy them from Realm Depot. There are three types of fields and you can plant only certain types of seeds there. You can see which ones were in the table below.

After you buy some fields you can place them in your Serenitea Pot from the Landform menu. If you’ve done with these steps move forward and plant the seeds in the relevant fields. In the Seed-Planting screen, you will see which fields can be occupied. But keep in mind is that you can plant only four seeds in one field.

If you’ve done everything right you’ll see the timer next to the planted seed that shows how much real-time you’ll need to wait until the plant grows. Also, remember that you cannot undo the planting. If you clear the ungrown plant the seeds won’t return to you. Every plant has a different growth time, which you can see when approaching the crop.

When the plant is fully grown come next to it and harvest. You can now use it as you wish. Also, you can plant new seeds in the same now free field.
