Kaeya is a good sub DPS character with Cryo element that can be applied to enemies by Burst and skills. Diluc will play as a main DPS but you will activate him after Kaeya’s attacks to provoke Melt reaction. Xingqiu’s can apply Hydro continuously and Diluc’s Pyro DMG will trigger Vaporization or Frozen from Kaeya. Bennett triggers Pyro resonance and also heals and boosts DPS of the team.
Good characters for this comp: Klee, Hu Tao, Ayaka, Keqing, Mona, Fischl, Kaedehara Kazuha, Venti, Zhongli, Rosaria, Diona.

Kaeya can be a decent main DPS if you find the balance between physical and Cryo damage. Rosaria will provide additional crit chance and from Cryo resonance. While Xingqiu is essential to activate the Frozen effect and heal. Bennett can activate Melt reaction and provide better healing while Kaeya is dealing damage. You can swap to Rosaria while Kaeya’s abilities are on cooldown.

Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill
Unleashes a frigid blast, dealing Cryo DMG to opponents in front of Kaeya.
Glacial Waltz
Elemental Burst
Coalescing the frost in the air, Kaeya summons 3 icicles that revolve around him.
These icicles will follow the character around and deal Cryo DMG to opponents in their path for the ability’s duration.

Every hit with Frostgnaw regenerates HP for Kaeya equal to 15% of his ATK.
Glacial Heart
4th Ascension Passive
Opponents Frozen by Frostgnaw will drop additional Elemental Particles.
Frostgnaw may only produce a maximum of 2 additional Elemental Particles per use.
Hidden Strength
Utility Passive
Decreases sprinting Stamina consumption of your characters in the party by 20%.
Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.

In Genshin Impact characters have a specific upgrade system called constellation. You will need to get a specific item called Stella Fortuna to increase the level of constellation. Each character has their own version of Stella Fortuna, which you get by obtaining a duplicate of the character from Wishes.

Excellent Blood
The CRIT Rate of Kaeya’s Normal and Charge Attacks against opponents affected by Cryo is increased by 15%.
Level 2
Never-Ending Performance
Every time Glacial Waltz defeats an opponent during its duration, its duration is increased by 2.5s, up to a maximum of 15s.
Level 3
Dance of Frost
Increases the Level of Frostgnaw by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Level 4
Frozen Kiss
Triggers automatically when Kaeya’s HP falls below 20%:
Creates a shield that absorbs damage equal to 30% of Kaeya’s Max HP. Lasts for 20s.
This shield absorbs Cryo DMG with 250% efficiency.
Can only occur once every 60s.
Level 5
Frostbiting Embrace
Increases the Level of Glacial Waltz by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Level 6
Glacial Whirlwind
Glacial Waltz will generate 1 additional icicle, and will regenerate 15 Energy when cast.

In addition, there are ascension phases that increase the level cap for your character. After Kaeya reaches the 20th level he can be ascended to the next ascension phase, up to phase 6, which allow getting 90th level.
