What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.
Like any other character, Yun Jin has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Yun Jin skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Yun Jin talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Yun Jin.
Cliffbreaker’s Banner is Yun Jin’s Elemental Burst. It deals AoE Geo DMG and grants all nearby party members a Flying Cloud Flag Formation. So that you will get additional damage that scales from Yun Jin’s DEF. This effect will last for 12 seconds or until you hit a target 30 times.
Opening Flourish is Yun Jin’s Elemental Skill. This skill has two options. If you press it will deal Geo damage, but if you need a good shield that can absorb 150% of elemental and physical damage you need to hold it. But that’s not all. When the shield disappears by any means it will explode and deal damage depending on the time that you spent on holding it. Moreover, that will also give you charges for her Elemental Burst.
Cloud-Grazing Strike is Yun Jin’s Normal Attack. Nothing special. The normal attack works as at any other character with a spear. When you quickly press normal attack you will see 5 different move sets. Charged attack with consume stamina and dash forward piercing small enemies on the way. The Normal Attack DMG Bonus granted by Flying Cloud Flag Formation is further increased by 2.5%/5%/7.5%/11.5% of Yun Jin’s DEF when the party contains characters of 1/2/3/4 Elemental Types, respectively.
This is a key moment. 4th Ascension Passive unlocks at Ascension Phase 4 of a Character. Which is available at character level 60.
It is the moment when you need to form Genshin Impact Yun Jin team from characters with different elemental powers to get the maximum advantage from Yun Jin.
Depending on what we have written above we will continue with character combinations that will suit Genshin Impact Yun Jin team the most. There are several roles that all characters obtain in Genshin Impact. Your perfect team would consist of the Main DPS, 2 SUB-DPS characters and one Support. Main DPS is occupied by a character that can deal a decent amount of damage from all sources, auto attacks, elemental reactions and elemental bursts. Sub DPSs are needed to activate reactions that boost the main DPS’ damage or deal some extra damage while the main DPS is sticking their elemental burst. Support can vary typically it is a healer/shielder, but in some cases, it can be a battery (the character that stacks elemental burst for the team) or a spreader (the character that can spread reactions activated by all the characters).
Yun Jin is a typical Support character with shields. She is good due to her additional damage that depends on DEF. Also, she is rather tanky which makes her a good character on a swap when you need to dodge a strong attack. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Yun Jin team comps that we find decent. But let’s start from the Genshin Impact free to play Yun Jin team comp.
This team will get you through the whole story and Archon quests in the game, but dungeons and Spiral Abyss can be a problem. Also, note that in such a combination you will get a 7.5% (level 3) bonus from Yun Jin’s elemental burst as there are only 3 different elements on this team. Still, you will have a good reaction from Xiangling’s and Kaeya’s Elemental Bursts activated simultaneously. Noelle will be an active character with shields and strong DPS from hand while her Elemental Burst is active.
Yun Jin can be decent support for characters that use physical damage as the main. You will get additional sheilds and damage. Eula is a great physical damage main DPS. Xingqiu will provide additional healing and constant Hydro for freezing for Eula from his elemental burst. Dion will activate Cryo resonance and heal.
Even though Yun Jin will not grant the maximum damage bonus Eula will get great coverage with her shield.
Yoimiya is the main DPS that will get an extra damage bonus from Yun Jin and Bennett. Both of them will support her with shielding and healing. Xingqiu will activate the most powerful elemental reaction – Vaporize and give additional healing to Yoimiya. This is a very decent build that has great potential.
On the other hand, Kazuha if you have Kazuha he is a better opinion than Xingqiu because he can spread all the damage from reactions and give strong assisting damage.
This team works well only if you have Gorou of at least 1st Constellation. That will speed up his Elemental Burst and you will have the most power from it. Itto will be the main DPS here, Albedo SUB DPS and Yun Jin and Gorou two supports. You can change Itto to Noelle.
This is team is stronger than the free-to-play Yun Jin team. You will have reactions from Razor and Kaeya. Superconduct will reduce enemies defence again physical damage. And Cryo resonance will increase critical strike chance by 15% on enemies affected by cryo. You can decide who would be physical DPS, might be Razor. Qiqi can be a good and reliable healer, especially under Yun Jin’s shield.
Extra characters that will work well with Yun Jin: (NOT A TEAM)
