Shenhe is a 5-star Cryo character in Genshin Impact that was released in January 2022. She is also referred to as the Ethereal Soul Amidst the Mortal Realm and Divine Damsel of Devastation. The name of the banner associated with Shenhe’s release is The Transcendent One Returns. This is an event banner and thus Shenhe can be obtained only when this banner is active. Shenhe Talents

What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.

Like any other character, Shenhe has two types of talents – active and passive. The whole description of Shenhe skills (talents) you can read via the link. In this post, we focus on the basic strategies and will explain what Shenhe talents are worth paying attention to. Let’s start with talent priority for Shenhe.

Talent Priority for Shenhe

Divine Maiden’s Deliverance > Spring Spirit Summoning > Dawnstar Piercer

Divine Maiden’s Deliverance is Shenhe’s Elemental Burst. It deals AoE Cryo DMG. The ability also applies a field that decreases the Cryo RES and Physical RES of opponents within it dealing some extra Cryo DMG to opponents within the field.

Spring Spirit Summoning is Shenhe’s Elemental Skill. This skill grants all nearby party members the Icy Quill effect and deals Cryo DMG in different ways based on whether it is pressed or held. That Icy Quill effect works like Cryo DMG buff to any attacks that deal Cryo DMG scaling from Shenhe’s ATK stat. If Shenhe presses the ability she will dash and deal Cryo damage if she holds she will deal AoE Cryo Damage and Icy Quill will last longer. Also. Icy Quill will last for 10s(if pressed) or 15s (if held). Can last less if you hit many times (over the scaling quota).

Dawnstar Piercer is Shenhe’s Normal Attack. Nothing special. The normal attack works as at any other character with a spear. When you quickly press normal attack you will see 5 different move sets. Charged attack with consume stamina and dash forward piercing small enemies on the way. There is also a plunging attack that can be used for mid-height that deals AoE damage on landing.

Shenhe is a SUB-DPS character that has good damage herself but her main focus is to make other Cryo characters stronger. Below you can see some options for different Genshin Impact Shenhe team comps that we find decent. But let’s start from the Genshin Impact free to play Shenhe team comp.

Genshin Impact FREE TO PLAY Shenhe team

This team is not the best for dealing damage or farming Spyral Abyss. But it is great for newbies who got Shenhe just now when started playing Genshin Impact. As Shenhe is a SUB-DPS mainly for Cryo and Physical damage Kaeya is a good choice for being the main DPS (or you can take Aloy). Lisa is good for two reasons – Superconduct and Overcharge reactions. Super conduct will reduce enemies Physical resists. While Overcharge deals huge damage (Pyro + Electro). This team doesn’t have support and it might be tough (you’ll need to eat some food during the combat to heal). Or you can change Xiangling or Lisa for Barbara. She is also a free character and a great healer. But be careful with her as her ability applies the hydro effect on you.

If you prefer ranged characters you can change Kaeya for Aloy.

The BEST Shenhe team

Shenhe works great with Ganyu as she increased her damage and activate Cryo resonance. So that Ganyu can deal a lot of Cryo damage with her charged attacks and elemental burst. Above all, Ganyu will gain extreme bonus Cryo damage from Shenhe abilities! Kazuha will be a good sub-DPS with control and additional reactions spread. While Bennett will heal, increase damage and activate melt reaction.

Premium Genshin Impact Shenhe team

Here you will see Ayaka as main DPS dealing increased Cryo damage boosted by Shenhe. Also, Ayaka will have increased Physical damage which is important for all melee characters. Kazuha can assist the team by grouping enemies together, applying crowd control, spread elemental attachment, provide DMG buff to teammates. Kokomi is a healer that also provides Hydro for freeze reaction.

If you prefer melt reaction you can take Yoimiya instead of Kazuha. In case you don’t have Kazuha but obtain Venti, you can take him as well.

Other notable Shenhe teams

We’ve mentioned many times that Shenhe is great for Cryo characters, but what is take two best cryo? That will do of course, but you will need someone to get them back together and provide healing. There’s where you need Jean. Or you can make it a full cryo team and add Qiqi to the team. She will heal and increase cryo damage too.

In addition to the huge damage that Ganyu will deal thanks to Shenhe, you will see Venti as enemies gathered and Mona damage booster.

Extra characters that will work well with Shenhe: (NOT A TEAM)

They are good in some comps depending on your playstyle. Rosaria is good if you want to focus mainly on damage from the hand. Raiden is the best Superconduct provider and Xingqiu is one of the best supports that will provide freeze option and additional healing. How to make personal Genshin Impact Shenhe team?

• Chose Cryo Main DPS. It will maximize Shenhe’s boosts of cryo damage.
• Take strong supportive elemental reactions. Depending on your gameplay you can take Hydro for Freeze, and Pyro for Melt.
• Group enemies. You can think about taking a character that can group enemies together. It is important as you need them to stay in the field from Shenhe’s elemental burst.
• Try to reach Level 2 constellation (not a must).
