Teamfight Tactics Chrono Build Guide

A new outstanding winning TFT combination is waiting for you in this Teamfight Tactics Chrono Build Guide. The information is related to TFT set 3 patches 10.9.

If you have been playing Teamfigth Tactics this season you might have noticed that chrono trait champions have a very good winning score. Today we will describe the best chrono combos and their items sets. In addition, you can read our previous TFT builds:

Teamfight Tactics Rebel Build Guide
Teamfight Tactics Dark Star Build Guide

Moreover, we have made a big post with all TFT items list (patch 10.8).

TFT Chrono trait

Chrono champions have some bonuses related to their trait. Those are:

All allies gain 15% Attack Speed every few seconds.

2 ⇒ 8 seconds
4 ⇒ 4 seconds
6 ⇒ 2 seconds

You have good chances to get a 6 champions combo as there are 7 chrono champions in the game.

TFT Chrono champions

So the following champions have Chrono trait in TFT:

There are two champions that cost 1 gold:

  • Caitlyn (Chrono and Sniper)
Caitlyn takes aim at the farthest enemy firing a deadly bullet towards them that deals 750/1500/3000 magic damage to the first enemy it hits.
  • Twisted Fate (Chrono and Sorcerer)
Twisted Fate throws three cards in a cone that deal 200/300/550 magic damage to each enemy they pass through.

Also, there are two champions that cost 2 gold:

  • Blitzcrank (Chrono and Brawler)
Blitzcrank pulls the farthest enemy dealing 250/400/900 magic damage and stunning them for 2.50 seconds.
His next attack after pulling knocks up for 1 second.
Allies within range will prefer to attack Blitzcrank’s target.
  • Shen (Chrono and Blademaster)
Shen creates a zone around himself for 2.50/3.00/5.00 seconds in which all nearby allies automatically dodge incoming Basic Attacks. While it’s active Shen gains 15/30/45 Magic Resist.

The only one champion for 3 gold is:

  • Ezreal (Chrono and Blaster)
Ezreal fires an electromagnetic pulse at a random enemy that explodes on impact dealing 200/300/600 damage to all nearby enemies and increasing the cost of their next spellcast by 40%.

The other one costs 4 gold:

  • Wukong (Chrono and Vanguard)
Wukong spins dealing 300/500/4000 magic damage to nearby enemies over 3 seconds. The first time Wukong hits each enemy he knocks them into the air and stuns them for 2/5 seconds.

And the most expensive one costs 5 gold:

  • Thresh (Chrono and Mana-Reaver)
Thresh tosses his lantern towards 1/9 random unit(s) on your bench pulling them into combat and granting them 25/50/200 bonus Mana. Traits are unaffected.

Before we continue. I would say that it would be enough to collect 4 Chronos combo. But if you are lucky and collect all of them that’s the best way to win. Nevertheless, that happens seldom, so it is worth knowing the most popular and common builds.

Chrono Build Guide – Best item sets

Here is the list of items that feet Chrono champions the most.

Caitlyn is a classical ranged AD carry. So she benefits from the following items: Infinity Edge, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Runaan’s Hurricane, Statikk Shiv, Giant Slayer, Last Whisper, Spear of Shojin, and Guardian Angel.

Twisted Fate, on the other hand, is effective as AP carry. You can collect him the following: Spear of Shojin, Morellonomicon, Seraph’s Embrace, Jeweled Gauntlet, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Luden’s Echo, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, and Statikk Shiv.

If you decide to collect Blitzcrank keep in mind that he is good as a supportive champion. Possible item set: Zephyr, Chalice of Favor, Redemption, Locket of the Iron Solari, Shroud of Stillness, Ionic Spark, Zeke’s Herald, and Zz’Rot Portal.

As a front lane champion, Shen can benefit from Bramble Vest, Zephyr, Frozen Heart, Warmog’s Armor, Redemption, Dragon’s Claw, Ionic Spark, and Zz’Rot Portal.

Ezreal is a situative champion. Collect items which will be the best for your situation. Possible ones are Red Buff, Sword Breaker, Giant Slayer, Zeke’s Herald, Runaan’s Hurricane, Spear of Shojin, Last Whisper, and Thief’s Gloves.

Wukong can perform as a great AP melee carry, but as a front laner you can make him tanky. Possible items for a set are Morellonomicon, Frozen Heart, Ionic Spark, Redemption, Bramble Vest, Zephyr, Zz’Rot Portal, and Warmog’s Armor.

Thresh is pretty situative as well. Try such items for him as Spear of Shojin, Zephyr, Chalice of Favor, Redemption, Seraph’s Embrace, Zeke’s Herald, Shroud of Stillness, and Rapid Firecannon.

Usually, when you play with a Chrono trait combo everything depends on damage and control. As all of your champions no matter their traits get bonus attack speed it worth collect damaging champions.

You will see a lot of combinations with Chrono champions. Many players collect them with sorcerers and star guardians. But we recommend you try support AD carries with Chrono trait bonuses.

Best Chrono Team Comps

In that case the best combination will consist of such traits:

4 ⇒ Chrono (silver bonus)
3 ⇒ Blademaster (bronze bonus)
2 ⇒ Mystic (silver bonus)
2 ⇒ Celestial (bronze bonus)
2 ⇒ Blaster (silver bonus)
2 ⇒ Valkyrie (golden bonus)
2 ⇒ Mana-Reaver (golden bonus)
1 ⇒ Mercenary (golden bonus)

The best match for this combos will contain Blitzcrank, Shen, Ezreal, Irelia, Kayle, Soraka, Lulu, Miss Fortune, and Thresh. As you can see it is a very expensive build. So you can instead take Caitlyn and support her with Jhin.

TFT Chrono trait Positioning and Gameplay

You need to protect your damaging champions and control your enemies. So the positioning is situative. You can watch our Chrono Gameplay video to get the whole understanding.

As you can see in the video we tried to play only Chrono champions and it worked perfectly for us. But as in any Teamfight Tactics match you need to watch your opponent. Pay attantion to what they collect and try to get the champions that counter them.
