It’s been six months and now we finally know what the new The Sims 4 stuff pack will be. We here in Expert Game Reviews voted in every round and it is very exciting to present you its upcoming look and features.
As you know or guess from the name, the main topic of the upcoming stuff pack is knitting. I personally am in anticipation because I used to love knitting very much myself. And now, my Sims will be able to enjoy this pleasant activity. And in addition, also earn extra money! But first things first.
So far we do not know everything. But we can show you how the sets for which the community voted look like.
The main palette and appearance for the new set is called DIY Delight. As you can see, with its help you can easily equip a whole workshop for your sims.
As for clothes, it looks super cool. Just imagine how soft and pleasant to the touch it can be! I really would like more opportunities to knit a super soft plaid and wound up watching movies by the fireplace!
And finally, the furniture. It’s always my favourite part of any The Sims stuff pack. As you can see, everything is very stylish and importantly functional. Have you noticed a rocking chair in the lower right corner? It has its own special functionality in The Sims, which we will talk about further.
First of all, of course, your Sims will be able to knit their clothes. But how will this be implemented? Developers admit that they have been thinking for a long time about what sims can do with the stuff they knit. And if they can wear these clothes, then how? And as for me, they came to very interesting decisions.
The most basic innovation is the ability to customize clothes from the character editor. So in the list of clothes you will see closed objects that you can unlock after your sim knits them.
Moreover, you will see that locks will also appear on old objects. This is clothing that has already been knitted, but now you can knit new colors and patterns!
Rocking chairs are the highlight of this pack. It seems to me that they add a special charm to the game, especially with their capabilities.
Your sims will be able to easily do a couple of things while swinging in a chair! So swinging in a rocking chair, sims can knit, watch TV and chat at the same time! It is just incredibly atmospheric.
Of course, other activities in the chair will be available. Such as reading a book or recalling the old days (for old characters). By the way, the old people will not just daydream about the old days. Suddenly surging memories can cause them a sharp and prolonged surge of emotions. So be careful.
This is an analogue of an online store for sims. In Plopsy, you can sell any things your sims created. This can be anything. From things, you have knitted to paintings and sculptures made of wood. This is a multi-user platform, which means you can not only sell but also buy crafted stuff. This means that sims do not have to learn how to knit to get a thing that they like!
But be careful, sellers themselves set prices in Plopsy so you can buy a thing a little more expensive than it actually costs. Although if you sell, you are only at hand. 😉
There is no clear answer to this question. The pack is still under development. But first, The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting will be released by the end of summer. But that’s okay because we all have the opportunity to enjoy Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack. Which, by the way, is coming out very soon on June 5, 2020.
