Torchlight 2 Best Mods to Play With

For Torchlight 1 & 2, mods are an integral part of the gameplay. They add new content to the game (classes, pets, new locations), improve various aspects of the game (such as graphics) and change the balance. Since the changes radically affect the gameplay, you will have separate saves and personas for playing with and without mods. Mods are absolutely free and all that is required from the player is to download and install them, and we will tell you how to do this below.

How to install Torchlight mods

The process of adding mods to the game is quite simple, you just need to select a mod and add it to the Torchlight 2 launcher mod.

For Steam Users:

Find required mod in Steam Workshop
Press the “Subscribe” button
Launch the game and choose “Start Game with Mods” (Play plus Gear icon button)
Select mods on the left (they will appear on the right column)
Press “Save the current mod selection” (Floppy disk icon)
Press “Launch Torchlight II with Mods” in the right corner

Non-steam Users

Find required mod (Nexus is a great site with lots of mods for T2)
Download and extract it in a new folder
Place the folder with the mod file in your Torchlight 2 mod folder (Documents\My Games\runic games\torchlight 2\mods)
Launch the game and choose “Start Game with Mods” (Play plus Gear icon button) or launch “ModLauncher.exe” in your Torchlight 2 folder
Select mods on the left (they will appear on the right column)
