There are seven elements in Genshin Impact that form gameplay. The game is based on elemental reactions and different combinations that support your fighting performance. Anemo is one of the first active elements added to the game. This post will tell you how the Anemo element works in Genshin Impact.
Anemo is an element that adds control to your fight by gathering enemies together. Also, Anemo supports by decreasing elemental resistances. Anemo doesn’t trigger reactions with all other six elements though. Below you can see the Anemo resonance effects and all Anemo reactions.
It is also worth knowing about the distinguishing symbols of the Anemo element. This is the icon
Also, each element in Genshin Impact has its own zone and archon. The homeland of the Anemo element is Mondstadt and the name of the archon is Barbatos, we know him as Venti.
Elemental Resonance activates in Genshin Impact when you have at least two characters with the same active element. Depending on the element it activates the relevant resonance and specific bonuses. The Anemo Resonance is the following:
This makes Anemo Resonance useful for teams that are dependent on Elemental Bursts.
Each element in Genshin Impact has specific elements reactions that determine its gameplay options. Different carriers of the corresponding element use it differently, which also affects the style of play, but the reactions themselves have certain invariable effects regardless of the game character.
Anemo has Elemental Reactions with the elements Electro, Pyro, Hydro and Cryo. Depending on the particular talent, it can Swirl or absorb the element or do both.
Many Anemo characters and enemies also have the following skills:
As you see Anemo element trigger reactions only with four elements:
Similar to the Geo status, the Anemo status is ephemeral and will either react immediately with pre-applied elements or disappear instantly after application if no other elements are applied to an enemy. However, the Anemo Hypostasis applies a long-lasting Anemo status to itself while its core is exposed, and unlike Persistent Geo on Geo Hypostasis and Planet Befall — it can react with other elements to trigger Swirl, albeit it has an Internal Cooldown which disallows it from activating Swirl again before a set amount of time passes.
Additionally, Jean‘s Elemental Burst — Dandelion Breeze — continuously and periodically applies the Anemo status to characters that stand in the talent’s AoE Dandelion Field up until the effect’s dissipation. This Anemo status effect does not behave any differently from a normal Anemo status effect and will disappear momentarily after application until the next periodic application occurs by the talent.
