The name of the banner associated with Gorou’s release is Oni’s Royale, but as any 4-star character, Gorou can be obtained from any type of wish at any time with higher or regular chances depending on the banner. Gorou Talents

What is the most important when you make a team comp in Genshin Impact is to remember that your characters must work together. Their talents need to assist each other and only via reactions. Some characters have talents that will change the whole impression about them when you see their talents.

Talent Priority for Gorou

Inuzaka All-Round Defense > Juuga: Forward Unto Victory > Ripping Fang Fletching

Inuzaka All-Round Defense is Gorou’s Elemental Skill. It deals AoE Geo DMG and sets up a General’s War Banner. This banner scales from the number of Geo characters in your active comp. The more Geo characters are there the better buff you get:

1. Geo character: Adds “Standing Firm” – DEF Bonus.
2. Geo characters: Adds “Impregnable” – Increased resistance to interruption.
3. Geo characters: Adds “Crunch” – Geo DMG Bonus.

There can be only one War Banner on the field that leaves in 2s if you change a character.

Juuga: Forward Unto Victory is Gorou’s Elemental Burst. This skill deals AoE Geo DMG and creates a field called General’s Glory with the following properties:

• Like the General’s War Banner created by Inazuka All-Round Defense, provides buffs to active characters within the skill’s AoE based on the number of Geo characters in the party. Also moves together with your active character.
• Generates 1 Crystal Collapse every 1.5s that deals AoE Geo DMG to 1 opponent within the skill’s AoE.
• Pulls 1 elemental shard in the skill’s AoE to your active character’s position every 1.5s (elemental shards are created by Crystallize reactions).

But it doesn’t work with War Banner.

Ripping Fang Fletching is Gorou’s Normal Attack. Nothing special. The normal attack works as at any other character with a bow. He can fire up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow. The charged attack will fire an aimed shot with increased damage (Geo if fully charged).

Gorou is not a typical character even though he increases the damage he is more preferred at the support position. He is a great match for main DPS that uses GEO damage. Moreover, the main DPS should scale their damage from DEF to get the most profit from Gorou in the team. Genshin Impact FREE TO PLAY Gorou team

We take Noelle as the main DPS. Her Geo damage from Elemental Burst scales from DEF and she is a perfect free-to-play match for Gorou. In addition, Noelle can heal a bit. Geo Traveler will activate better buff from Gorou skill and Lisa will activate Crystalize and deal supportive damage.

The BEST Gorou team

This team is like the a much better version of the free-to-play comp for Gorou. Arataki Itto is currently the best match for Gorou because his damage will scale from all Gorou improvements. Albedo will deal additional Geo damage (that scale from DEF too) and apply shields. Raiden is a sub-DPS on swap while Itto is stacking his Elemental Burst.

Full Geo Gorou team

The only difference between the full Geo Gorou team and the best Gorou team is that Zhongli will be the fourth Geo character that activates the maximal buff from Gorou. Also, this team has a lot of shields that will stay on them for a really long time thanks to the Geo Resosnace bonus.

There are not so many comps that will rok great with Gorou if you don’t play around Geo characters with scales from DEF. So below we just include some other characters that can replace the forth character (like Raiden or Lisa in other comps)

Extra characters that will work well with Gorou: (NOT A TEAM)

How to make personal Genshin Impact Gorou team?

• Take a strong Geo Main DPS with damage scale from DEF stat.
• Try take some Geo characters to get a better buff from Gorou’s Elemental Skill.
• Choose a strong sub-DPS who can trigger Crystalized reaction quickly.
• Healer is not a must as you will have shields.
