Imperius is a melee bruiser hero from the Diablo universe. With a high self-healing, it can do quite well soaks damage from the enemy team. Good damage will allow him to win duels and deal significant damage in team fights.
Imperius – Archangel of Valor
Primary Abilities
Celestial Charge
Lunge towards a targeted direction and stab, dealing 35 damage. If an enemy Hero is hit, Channel to Stun for 1 second and deal 70 additional damage when it fully finishes.
Solarion’s Fire
Release a fiery wave that deals 100 damage. Enemies hit by the center take 50% bonus damage and are Slowed by 40% for 3 seconds.
Molten Armor
Shroud Imperius in flames for 3 seconds, striking a nearby enemy for 19 damage every 0.25 seconds. Imperius heals for 50% of the damage dealt, increased to 100% against Heroes.

Summon a ring of blazing swords that grants 1000 Shield for 3 seconds. If the Shield lasts the full duration, this ability can be reactivated within 5 seconds to launch 6 swords toward an area, each dealing 140 damage to the first enemy hit.
Wrath of the Angiris
After 0.75 seconds, charge in the target direction, lifting the first enemy Hero hit into the Heavens. While in the air, Imperius can steer the landing location by moving. After 2 seconds, slam the target into the ground, dealing 375 damage and Stunning them for 1 second.

Each Basic Ability marks enemy Heroes hit for 10 seconds. Basic Attacks consume the target’s marks, dealing 20% bonus damage per mark and healing for 75 per mark.

Useful Strategies and Tips
Valorous Brand this Trait allows Imperius to deal increased damage with Basic Attacks and great self-sustain. Try to activate the Valorous Brand in teamfights and in situations where you can marks as many enemies as possible and use your Basic Attacks on them.
Celestial Charge is a great gap closer. It can be for initiation or peeling for allies.
Solarion’s Fire is a good wave clear skill that is great for picking up mercenary camps.
Molten Armor is your main self-heal source. Together with Valorous Brand stacks, you can deal damage and heal an incredible amount of lost health back.
Angelic Armaments makes Imperius’ presence key in teamfight. Firstly, Shield, which absorbs a lot of damage, allowing you to distract enemy Assasins and block out a significant part of the damage. Second, if the shield lasts for 3 seconds, Imperius will be able to deal significant damage if aimed blazing swords properly.
Wrath of the Angiris is a useful skill to remove one enemy Hero from teamfight. However, because of the cast delay, this will not be so easy.
Synergies and Counters
Imperius synergizes with Heroes, that can slow enemies (such as Jaina or Fenix) and Tanks keep enemies in place (such as Mal’Ganis or E.T.C.).
Imperius is countered by Heroes with slows and knockbacks abilities (such as Lúcio or E.T.C.).
