Elements in Honkai: Star Rail is a part of combat game systems similar to the paths that we wrote before. Each playable character is assigned an element and their attacks will deal matching elemental damage. The game has seven playable elements and no more are going to be added.
Those seven elements are Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary.
Enemies have several weaknesses to elements. Dealing elemental damage that they are weak to will cause their Toughness gauge to reduce. When the enemy’s Toughness gauge is fully depleted, they will suffer a Weakness Break, taking an instance of Break DMG, receiving a debuff corresponding to the element that caused the Weakness Break, and delaying their action. Such an enemy will stay in the Weakness Broken state until their next turn, during which they will take slightly increased DMG.
Player characters do not have Toughness and are unable to be inflicted with Weakness Breaks. However, elemental debuffs can still be applied to characters by certain enemy attacks.
Every playable character in Star Rail has one elemtn. We have written builds and mini guides about every character implemented into the game so far and below we will group the links to Star Rail character builds in accordance with their element.

Using Physical attacks to trigger Weakness Break will deal Physical DMG and apply the Bleed Effect, dealing Physical DoT.

Using Quantum attacks to inflict Weakness Break will deal Quantum DMG and cause Entanglement, delaying the enemy’s action and dealing Additional Quantum DMG to the affected enemy at the start of the next turn. When the enemy is hit, this extra DMG will increase.
The list will be updated when new characters will be added to Star Rail.

When using an Imaginary attack to inflict Weakness Break on target enemy, the attack will deal Imaginary DMG and additionally inflicts Imprisonment. Imprisoned enemies suffer from delayed actions and SPD reduction.
Since early childhood, I was fond of gaming. I played Doom 2, Red Alert 2 and, of course, The Sims. I grew up but my passion didn’t go away. So now I am writing about the stuff I love the most: video games!
