We will share with you useful information about changes and updates coming in the upcoming pre-expansion patch in World of Warcraft. Learn everything you need before Shadowlands arrive.
Character Boost Changes
You all know that in Shadowlands will be 60 levels system. That’s why there will be new character boost system as well.
- Level 120 Character Boosts will boost characters to level 50 after the pre-expansion patch.
- Level 110 Character Boosts will boost characters to level 48 after the pre-expansion patch.
Levels, Items, and Stats Adjusted
In the table below, which we took from here, you can see how the level of your characters will change as pre-expansion patch arrives.
|Battle for Azeroth Level||Shadowlands Level||Battle for Azeroth Level||Shadowlands Level|
In the columns Battle for Azeroth Level is show the current level of your character. And in the column on the right from it in Shadowlands Level you will see the level your character will be transferred to in WoW pre-expansion patch.
New Starting Experience: Exile’s Reach
Exile’s Reach is a new zone that will help new players to learn the basics of World of Warcraft. Here you will start from level 1 and level up to 10th level. In Exile’s Reach, you will see the levelling process, learn about questing, professions and even clear your first dungeon. If you are already familiar with WoW you can skip that and start your journey with a new character from level 10. After that, you can continue levelling in Battle for Azeroth or speak to Chromie and travel to the previous expansions to level up there, also you can change to any other expansion any time. Visit Chromie near the embassies in Stormwind or Orgrimmar but remember that you can choose this option only if you have already walked through the content and reached the maximum level in Battle for Azeroth at least with one character.
/New Player and Guides
When you are in Exile’s Reach you will be added into the specific chat for newcomers. There you will be able to ask questions and learn from experienced players – guides. You will differentiate between veterans and newcomers by icons. But remember that you will have access to newcomers’ chat only until you reach level 20. After that, you are on your own.
How to become a guide in World of Warcraft?
That’s pretty simple. You can go to the guide recruiter in Stormwind or Orgrimmar and sign to this job. But you will need to meet the requirements below:
- Have an account in good standing
- Reach level 50
- Complete 3,000 quests
- Earn at least two of the following achievements: Terrific Trio, Rival: Battle for Azeroth Season Four, Battle for Azeroth Keystone Conqueror: Season Four, The Waking Dream, or We Have the Technology.
If you want to quit being a guide you can speak to the guide recruiter again.
Recruit A Friend Updates
There will be slight changes to recruit a friend system. First of all, you will get a unique 30-slot bag—the Extra-Spacious Knapsack—upon completing their adventure in Exile’s Reach as a part of the new player experience. But to activate the boost for levelling up together you will need to wait for Shadowlands expansion as it will start working again only then. All other benefits will remain.
Appearance Change Service for Shadowlands Retiring Soon
Due to new character customization options that you’ll see in Shadowlands the older version of it will retire soon.
Recruiting Allied Races
We have written everything you need to know about recruiting allied races in WoW here. But the list of requirements is going to change in the pre-expansion patch.
You will still need to earn achievements and complete questlines, but you will no longer need exalted reputation with the faction you want to unlock.
Battle for Azeroth PvP Season 4 Ends and the Post-Season Begins
The last Battle for Azeroth PvP is coming to an end in the pre-expansion patch. But you can participate in PvP special post-season (bu the leaderboards will be offline). As for the new Shadowlands Season 1, it will open in shortly after the launch of Shadowlands.
To save all your rewards you got during the fourth season be sure to do the following in time (if you need to):
- Refrain from transferring your character(s) to another realm or faction until after Battle for Azeroth Season 4 has ended.
- Battle for Azeroth Season 4 titles and mounts will be awarded approximately two weeks after the season ends.
Don’t forget—end-of-season rewards are based on your faction. If you transfer your character to the other faction, you must have 50 wins after your transfer to receive the reward and 150 wins after your transfer to earn Gladiator and Corrupted Gladiator.
Earning Flight in Warlords of Draenor and Legion
In the pre-patch you’ll see that you no longer need the achievements Draenor Pathfinder and Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two to fly in Warlords of Draenor and Legion. Great news, isn’t it?
