There are many events that take place in Animal Crossing during December. All of them are great and bring a holidays mood to our hearts. We have written a list of to-do activities in December in Animal Crossing: New Horizons previously. Also, we mentioned how to make a Snowboy in Animal Crossing. In this post, you will see some details about the Winter Solstice celebration in Animal Crossing.
Winter Solstice Event is a one-day event that takes place on 21st December. In every region, there are different celebration activities. If you are familiar with Animal Crossing: City Folk you know the Winter Solstice event as Midwinter’s Day. Read about the differences below.
First of all, Midwinter’s Day is the time to celebrate the shortest day during the year. In Animal Crossing it firstly appeared in European copies of Animal Crossing: City Folk. You can see Tortimer standing in front of the Town Hall on communicating with him a player gets a Snow Globe.
In New Leaf, you will see Isabelle standing out in the event plaza. During the Winter Solstice Event, she can give the player a Blue Glow Stick, which cannot be obtained anywhere else. Also, you will notice that here during the Winter Solstice event it is night all day. A four-person cutout board will be stood out in the event plaza as well.
The Winter Solstice does not appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a standard event, it appears as a Nook Shopping seasonal event from June 15 to 21 in the Southern Hemisphere or December 15 to 21 in the Northern Hemisphere. During that time the player can purchase the Midwinter Sweater and an Aurora Wall from Nook Shopping for 1,200 Bells (a special currency in Animal Crossing).
Don’t forget that winter is lots of fun. Don’t miss Animal Crossing opportunities or you’ll need to wait to take them for the next year.
