We have written a new complete Path of Exile Expedition Scourge Challenges Complete Guide. Below you can see the full list of PoE 3.16 challenges and tips on how to complete them. There are 40 challenges in PoE. Some are easy to obtain during levelling, others are harder or almost impossible to achieve. In our Path of Exile, Scourge League Challenges Complete Guide you will read the tips that will help you complete as many PoE challenges as you can even all 40 if that is your goal.
Our guide is presented in the rating difficulty list. That means that we have divided the full Scourge challenges list into four difficulties: easy (the most part of them you’ll do while levelling), normal (you can obtain them with a minimal effort), hard (you’ll need to try and repeat several times to do them), very hard (you’ll need to farm numerous maps and know and be able to kill end-game bosses). If you want to get 20 challenges completed you can combine challenges from different difficulty levels to pick the most appropriate ones for you.
As we have already said you’ll see them get completed while you play and level up your champion. If you finish the last act you’d probably have all the following 12 challenges completed.
Complete the quest “Thirst for Blood”.
This is the quest related to the new mechanics in the Scourge league. Talk to the Last to Die to start it. You can read more details in Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League Mechanics Guide.
Equip each of the following item types.
You will get all these items during your quest journey. Just remember to equip them. By the way, you don’t need to play with them all the time, equipping will be enough.
Use each of the following crafting methods on an item.
All these orbs are easy to obtain while you play, to complete the challenge you need to use each of them once on any item.
Defeat each of the following Unique Act Bosses.
You cannot skip them, so if you finish the first part of the main questline the challenge will be completed.
Allocate a Skill in the Blood Crucible twenty times.
It means that you need to level up your Blood Crucible. You can put these 20 points in any skills that you like. If you don’t skip Scourge mechanics you will complete this challenge by the end of the game. You can read more details in Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League Mechanics Guide.
Use each of the following crafting methods on an item.
Use the orbs on any item once and craft any mode using the crafting bench in your hideout.
Defeat each of the following Scourge monsters.
There is no quicker way to complete this challenge than switch to every Scourge Nightmare as you see. Don’t skip Scourge mechanics and you will kill every type of monsters during the first 5 acts. You can read more details in Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League Mechanics Guide.
Defeat each of the following Unique Act Bosses.
These are also main and unskippable bosses if you complete the game you will have this challenge done.
Equip each of the following item types.
Actually, each of them will drop to you while you play but during the second part of the story, when you collect the powers of gods. Some will drop earlier, don’t forget to equip them.
Fully clear any Map area. An area is fully cleared when there are no monsters remaining.
After you complete Act 10 you will need to complete a quest that unlocks a map device. You will see it in your hideout. By that time you will have at least one map for sure. Place it in your map device and activate it. You will have 6 tries (you can die 6 times) so be careful. Clear every single monster on the map and you are done. To see how many monsters remain on a map press “Tab” and next to the stats of the map you will see an approximate number of the remaining monsters (if there are more than 50, in another case you will see the exact number).
Complete each of the following tasks.
We have got complete guides about every league mentioned in this challenge. We placed the links to those guides next to the points of the challenge. As for Zana, you will meet her at the first tier 3 map that you will clear.
Transform items in the Blood Crucible to achieve five of the following seven outcomes.
Actually, all you can do is transform many different item types to get all these modifiers from the new Scourge crafting system. If you what to learn how to transform items read Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League Mechanics Guide.
These challenges are hardy will autocomplete as the previous ones. Here you’ll need to do some research, but they are also pretty easy to obtain.
Have at least ten allocated Masteries on the Passive Skill Tree.
In PoE 3.16 there have been some changes made to the Passive skill Tree. You will see that masteries were moved to the relevant groups of passive skills. For example, if you get a notable passive from any group of passive skills that give you bonuses to Life the next skill point you can place to the Life Masteries (click in the middle of the group of these Life passive skills we talked about). Get other 9 notable passive and get their passive masteries to complete the challenge.
Defeat six Unique Map Bosses within ten seconds of each other.
To complete this challenge you need to craft a map that can have 6 bosses. To do so you need to take a map that contains 3 bosses by default, for Scourge league those maps are:
And roll on any of them “Twinned” mod. You will see the line that says “Area contains two Unique Bosses”. On a map with 3 bosses by default that will double the number of bosses, so you will have a map with 6 bosses. As you need to kill them within 10 seconds intervals try to make the map as easy as possible of the lowest possible tier. Be careful with Vaal Pyramid Map, bosses there spawn one after another as you kill them.
Transform each of the following item types to tier 3 in the Blood Crucible.
You will need to upgrade the Blood Crucible skill tree to get the ability to transform items to the third tier and after that complete each of the following from the list. You can take any item that drops from Scourge monsters and has tier 2 and transform it again to make the process quicker. Defeat each of the following Unique Map Bosses.
You just need to obtain each of the maps and kill the bosses there. You can see the Scourge maps tiers list by following the link.
Equip each of the following item types.
Heist Trinket is the easiest part of this challenge. You will need to complete a grand heist to get a trinket but it is rather easy, you can read more in Path of Exile 3.12 Heist League Mechanics Guide.
As for the cluster jewels, they drop from Delirium encounters, but you need to put skill points in the passive skill tree to allocate a cluster jewel. You can buy a cluster jewel that fits your build the most. You can read some more information about cluster jewels via the link.
Influenced items can be bought or you can equip any item influenced by any minor or major Atlas boss. Meaning Atlas conquerors or Sirus, Elder or Shaper.
Use each of the following crafting methods on an item.
Corrupt items to achieve each of the following outcomes.
You will need a lot of Vaal Orbs to complete this challenge, but it is not that hard you just need to be lucky. Still, you need to remember some things. First of all, gems. When you use a Vaal orb on a gem it can rather give +1 lvl or +3 quality. That means that you need to use a Vaal orb on a gem with 20 lvl or with 20% quality. If you want to try to get both crafts on a gem you need to do that at the Temple of Atzoatl Doryani’s Institute room. Second of all, corrupted implicit modifiers are not guaranteed to apply using a Vaal orb. In some cases, the Vaal orb can destroy an item. So you need to collect Vaal orbs and required item types to try your luck.
And last of all, Corruption-Exclusive Unique Jewel can be a result of using a Vaal orb on any jewel. It is not very hard to get it, only luck is required.
Attain character level 90. This challenge still counts even if your character dies afterwards.
Remember that after Act 5 you will start losing 5% of collected experience on death. And after Act 10 – 10%. So it is not easy if you die all the time. Make sure that your build is powerful and tough.
Use each of the following crafting methods on an item.
To complete this challenge you need to use each of these orbs. One time on any item is enough, but all these robs are rather hard to acquire unless you buy them from other players.
Complete fifteen of the following seventeen Unique Maps.
You can complete any of them actually. But there are 3 that are hard to complete or to obtain. So we recommend you skip, The Putrid Cloister, and Doryani’s Machinarium. You can buy any map from other players. The prices can change so you can check them yourself.
To get unique maps faster get The Encroaching Darkness divination card that will provide you with a random unique map.
Socket each of the following Watchstone types into a Citadel on your Atlas.
Atlas has changed in Scourge league and we have written a post called ‘Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League All Watchstones and How to use them‘ there you’ll find all information needed for this challenge.
These challenges may cause more difficulties and extra effort to complete them. Such as extra farm of content and tactics and mechanics on killing end-game bosses.
Complete vendor recipes to receive each of the following items. A vendor recipe is when you trade a specific pattern of items to a vendor, not when you buy items from his/her purchase screen.
We have all these recipes described in Path of Exile Most Useful Vendor Recipes. Use search on-page to find the needed one.
Complete each of the following Expedition encounters.
These tasks are related to the previous league called Expedition. Read Path of Exile 3.15 Expedition League Mechanics Guide to find answers to any questions about Expedition league.
Defeat each of the Conquerors of the Atlas in each of the specified ways.
If you need to learn how to reach any of them, read Path of Exile Atlas of Worlds Full Guide, but remember that in Scourge league there are only 4 regions, not 8 like mentioned in the post.
In case you want to complete this challenge quickly, you will need to have a strong build that has a lot of single target damage. Of course, you can dodge bosses’ attacks but that can be hard.
Complete each of the following tasks with the help of the Forsaken Masters.
These are all parts of the endgame farms when you complete the same actions multiple times. All of the tasks not taking into account Shaper are parts of mechanics from the previous leagues. We mentioned some guides that we have to help you with this challenge.
Fully upgrade two of the four Major Pantheon Powers.
You will find all the answers in How to Upgrade Pantheon Powers in Path of Exile guide.
Complete each of the following encounters.
We think that this challenge is hard because needs a lot of preparation and time.
Complete each of The Shaper’s Guardians while the area is affected by the specified map modifier.
You can roll these modifiers with your currencies, but no need to make it very hard, magic ones will be enough. If you need to learn how to find The Spaher’s Guardians read How to Unlock All Endgame Bosses in Path of Exile.
Defeat each of the following Unique Scourge Bosses.
There is a scrouge mod that can help you meet at least one guaranteed Scourge boss. Other details read in ‘How to find PoE Scourge Bosses?’ post.
Complete ten Scourged maps of transformation tier 10.
As you continue to level up your Blood Crucible, you will be able to unlock a map slot, which allows you to put maps into your Blood Crucible in order to transform them. Maps can be transformed up to 10 times, with more transformations giving the chance at adding more Scourge Modifiers, which will increase the challenge and reward of the map. You can get up to 2 maps in your Blood Crucible at once, and they do take quite some time to transform. If you are not confident you will be able to handle the maps, you can transform white, low tier maps so that they are easier to complete.
Use each of the following crafting methods on an item.
These orbs are very expensive and you can buy them, or wait when they drop from the places we mentioned. To read more details about these orbs, you can read Path of Exile – Most expensive currency. Complete each of the following on your Atlas.
Complete each of the following encounters.
To complete the following four challenges you will need as much time as one week and a decent build for completing the top end-game content and bosses.
Defeat The Feared in The Maven’s Crucible while it has the “Maven releases all Bosses at once” modifier.
A new mod to Maven invitations were introduced to allow for the bosses to spawn simultaneously, instead of being staggered. This is a very difficult fight, containing all the hardest bosses in the game, all at once.
The Feared can be done as a magic rarity with no other modifiers to make the encounter easier, but it is still a combination of the game’s hardest bosses being fought all at once. And again, this challenge can be done at a party so if your build can’t handle this content, bring a friend or a carry to help you out clear this challenge whenever you’re ready to open this map.
Defeat three of the following five encounters in the specified ways.

Allocate all of the Blood Crucible’s Skills.
It will require a lot of time and a strong build to survive as many Scourge encounters as possible. Read more in Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League Mechanics Guide.
Complete any four of these encounters the specified number of times.
No need to do all of them but choose 4 the most appropriate and easy for you. We recommend skipping reaching level 100 as it is time-consuming. And to choose from: either Solo Delve Depth, since it takes much time, or Complete Rituals for the same reason.
